I am honored to create memorials for our WWII, Korean, and Vietnam war dead.

In May 2017 I completed a 4 year project creating virtual cemeteries for all American Ground Forces casualties during WWII (with the exception of the 9th Armored Division, no casualty roster seems to be in existence):

65 Infantry Divisions (65/65 completed)
16 Armored Divisions (15/16 completed)
4 Airborne Divisions (4/4 completed)
1 Cavalry Division (1/1 completed)
1 Mountain Division (1/1 completed)
6 Marine Divisions (6/6 completed)

Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz:
"They fought together as brothers in arms; they died together and now they sleep side by side...To them, we have a solemn obligation the obligation to ensure that their sacrifice will help make this a better and safer world in which to live."

In 2013 I completed a five year project traveling to Hawaii annually from the mainland to photograph headstones for all of our WW2 dead at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl) in Honolulu. I have added over 10,000 photos to memorials at the cemetery. Prior to 2008, few of the memorials had a headstone photo.

I took a picture of Cooper's headstone today and missed the message from you requesting a pano of the general area. I will be going back and will try to remember to take another pic and post it.

RE: WW I - Killed In Action in France

Still not sure if the Ben Hemple remains are buried in the cemetery with his grave marker. The local funeral home records, however, reflect there were 5 funeral cars at the service that took place in 1921. Maybe his remains were identified 3 years after his death in France. Brent

Wilson Hilton USS Arizona Purple Heart
Mr. Hall,

You posted a picture of the Purple Heart medal awarded to Wilson Hilton who was killed aboard the USS Arizona on 12/7/41. Could you tell me where this medal is located? I am researching this sailor for a local town project. I hope to hear from you soon.

WW I - Killed In Action in France

Where is the best place to search to find a grave of a KIA soldier in France in 1918. I have his service record #3765765 - Ben Hemple KIA 11/10/1918. I am looking for the cemetery where he is buried.
