I've been doing genealogy research for about 35 years. I started before you could turn on your computer and do the research from your home. While I enjoy the convenience of using the internet to do research, I still enjoy the more "hands on" approach. I've taken many trips over the years to courthouses, cemeteries, to visit elderly family members, etc. along the way. For me, the online research just doesn't bring the same satisfaction that I feel when I am able to go dig up the information in person. I've enjoyed meeting cousins that I never knew I had, and I've also been able to reconnect with family members that I've lost contact with over the years. This has become a great hobby, and I've enjoyed learning all the interesting stories, both good and bad, about my family history. I hope I have and am playing some small part in getting younger members of my family interested in what came before them.

I'm happy to share whatever information that I have. Feel free to use the grave photos that I've added without contacting me. I've uploaded them for your use. All I ask is that you list where you got the photo along with the cemetery, city, state so others can find the grave if they wish to visit it. I'm happy to take photos of graves in my area for other people and upload them to memorials here. I think of it as a kind of payment for those who have been kind enough to get photos for me. I try to take the kind of photos that I would like to have....well focused, as readable as possible, and a good angle.

As for the more PERSONAL PHOTOS, I'd like to be contacted before anyone adds them to another website or uses them in any other way. I love sharing, but I also like to know where and how my research and/or personal family photos will be used, and I like to know that credit is given to the proper individual(s) if my research or photos are used by others. I feel it's extremely important that future researchers be able to get to original sources of pictures and other documents the same way that I and others did. It's very frustrating to see a supposed photo of someone on the internet, but the person posting the photo doesn't have the original, can't tell you where the original is or any other information about it, and doesn't even know for sure that the photo is correctly identified.

I'm happy to transfer any memorials that don't belong to my family. Just let me know if I am managing a memorial which is of your family member, and I'll get it transferred to you ASAP if I'm not related. I like to see memorials in the hands of family or friends who can add to the memorial and make it the best it can be.

William King
Hi Sabrina

I would have emailed you at another email but only saw this one. I am helping someone with a genealogy search of looking for a William King that may have been married to a Fisher or she could have been his mother. Could you email me at and let me know if you have a Fisher connection.

Lockie Ann Bethel Williams
I am searching for my great-great grandmother Lockie Williams Stidham. She was born about 1856. She married my great-great grandfather Reuben J George Stidham (Find a grave #118830269) on Dec 31, 1872 in Haralson Co., Ga. My grandfather George Marion Stidham (179296725) is one of her sons. I found her father William Worthy Williams (91154504). She died abt 1892 in Georgia.
Do you have any information on Lockie that you can share with me.

RE: Nancy Clingan's Grave
Sorry they were not a better quality. Those type of stones NEVER photograph with any clarity. They always have a glare and the inscriptions do not show up well. I will try again when I visit the cemetery next to see if I can improve.

Sabrina: I recently had a new request from the same cemetery that your Ocey King is in. I recently came across his grave once again and noticed that the King family had two more children, all buried alongside one another who passed, I believe between 1912 and 1915. I think the eldest was only 5 years old. That just struck me to inform you of it. I'm not certain if you're interested or not.

Sabrina, I found Josephine's marker but I have not yet taken my own photo of it. It is located here:

The next time I'm in the area I will look for it.

John D. Cary

Thank you so much for taking the wonderful photos! This was the first time that I have seen the grave of my great great grandfather, Private John D. Cary! I have run into a snag trying to find anything about his ancestors. All I know is that he was born in North Carolina. Are there records from Creechs Chapel Cemetery that gives more info about the people buried? If I knew for sure where he was from, maybe I could find out more about his history.

Thank you again for your time and all your effort to bring such a special gift to families!

Ohio County News Article on Death of George M May
Sabrina, thank you so much for sending the information about how little Georgie died. It was wonderful of you to take the time to send it and solves a mystery of why my little grand nephew died at such a young age. I love this site and all of the great people who work together and share information they have found.
