|While searching for my Great Great Grandfather, James Oliver Hewitt, I realized and appreciate the difficultly some of us have in locating our family members and hope I can help someone in their search.|
My grandfather lived in northeast Kansas (Brown County) sometime around 1895 when he loaded a wagon with grain and struck out for St. Joseph, MO, never to be seen again.
He sold the team, wagon and grain and hopped on a train to Fairbury, Nebraska. The trail ends there.
I would enjoy hearing from anyone who may have a similiar story with the Hewitt name.

Thank you in advance.

I just read daughter Louisa's obituary, which stated that indeed her mother was in this cemetery, so I'm going to add her name and ask for a photo. Thanks so very much!!

Do you know if there is a grave here for a Sarah (Waltham) Pennington? (1820-1901). A direct descendant of her says that there is; she was the mother of Louisa (Pennington) Skelton whose first husband was Charles Melvin Hunter.

Please delete the newspaper obituary for Frank Thomas Spigler from Find A Grave memorial # 102896560.
Its clearly stated on my biography page not to attach newspaper copies to the memorials I create.

There is a photo of this grave stone already on Find A Grave. I was about to head to the cemetery when I thought to look at the website. If you need something else please contact me. Judith Kittleson

Find A Grave says I already have an outstanding photo request for my Grandmother. They are showing me the below message. Funny, but this doesn't really show in my bio listing.
You might have to do this one "On The Free" Don't fret it, I've done 19,000 photos that way.....
Thanks again for the prospect of a current photo,
And all the wonderful things you do for Find A Grave.
Keep in mind that I'm with you (in spirit). I'm in the final 1000 souls of a 8000 soul; re-shoot.
We can not proceed because of the reason(s) listed below. Please press the back button in your browser, correct the problem(s) and try again.
There is an existing photo request for this memorial. Memorials can only have one photo request attached to them...
As you scoot around Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Stuttgart, can you re-photograph my Grandmothers stone-Barbara Margaret Hoffman Weinman, 61801353.
I already have a stone photo taken in the 1940's,
But it's B&W and a lower quality photo.
I'd like to maintain the older photo because it's Retro, (I hate that word).
Should I submit a photo request, so you can get credit?

Thank you for providing a photo of the grave marker for Matthew Scott. I appreciate your help.
