I have been doing this since Feb 2011, and it is amazing how one can get so focused on the past and totally get carried away. Depending on who I am researching at the time, sometimes I feel like I am right there in that time zone and feeling their presence. Weird huh!!!! |
I am kicking myself for not asking more questions when I was younger and all the history was still alive to answer the questions.
The Son of Mildred Louise (Knight) Parrish (1920-2009) and Martin Hamilton "Bill" McGimpsey (1910 1968).
Louise is the daughter of Augustine "Gus" Hahn Knight (18871967) & Vivian Luella Evans (18971988)
Augustine "Gus" Hahn Knight is the son of Nathan Francis Knight (18381919) & Maria Louisa Carlton (18481937)
Vivan Evans Knight is the daughter of William H Evans b.1860 & Nancy A Evans b.1871
My father is Martin Hamilton "Bill" McGimpsey (1910 1968) is the son of:
Henry James McGimpsey 1829 1907
Elizabeth "Eliza" "Liza" Hamilton 1829 1866
Emmett Parrish was my step-dad and is the Son of Benjamin "Ben" Harrison (Parish) Parrish (18891949) & Judie Jude Juda Judy Lee McGuire (18891964)
(NOTE) Depending on who wrote the names down, Parrish was spelled both ways, with one R and with two Rs. Also as PErish & PErrish as well.
Also note, Jude's name was spelled as Judie, Jude, Juda and Judy again, depending on who wrote the name down as well as what mood she was in that day. She was also "older" than Ben and didn't want anyone to know it!
I went to Stoutland School, Stoutland, Camden, Missouri, USA, from 1953 to 1963 and then moved to Independence/Kansas City Missouri area and attended Truman High School.
If anyone wants a memorial transferred to them, please let me know because as a relative or close friend can always do a much better memorial than someone not related. I try to do the best I can with each memorial and that is what takes me so long, the research.
Also please note, You may use any of the pictures I upload to Find A Grave as long as they are used respectful. I upload them to share with the family's and friends and I am happy when you can find them useful. I just ask that you please acknowledge who took the picture, whether it is one I took or someone else has taken.
Note: when taking and posting pictures of headstones, please make sure you get a good picture, they deserve it. If you can hardly read it, no one else can read it as well. Everyone will thank you!

Jerry, many thanks for the transference of my dad's memorial. While trying to link his family together, I found that his parents have TWO listings in FINDAGRAVE. Please be so kind as to remove your listings - #115834073 and #115833740 - as the other listings - #140668548 and #140668531 - have cemetery info and grave photos. Thanks again, Kelly (Palmtree Gothic #49243428)

Hi, Jerry. Will you please transfer my father's memorial (#43955592) to me. I would like to update it. Many thanks.
Palmtree Gothic (#49243428)
Hello Jerry, First I want to thank you for all your work on find a grave. I know the Schumacher is a hard family to follow, my aunt Margie (Nothem) Hallett, her mother Emma (Salwalke) Nothem married later in life Ernest Schumacher after both spouses had passed on, I knew them when I would visit my grandmother Lillie Hallett on the week-ends at Dicks cafι in Remsen. My Aunt Margie sister Geraldine married into this family Daniel Schumacher. What makes it even harder is the fact that Daniel father went on census records as Charles on the on gravestone as Carl E Schumacher this could be because his father Carl was still living. Carl E. AKA Charles and Emma Margaret Haach, Their children were Robert C. Schumacher 25 Aug 1917-22 May 2009, Eva Jane 1918-2010, Daniel H. 1930-1960, Paul 1926-2009, James E., 1934-2009, I would like to do some linking for this family, but first I need this done below.
You have placed on Robert C Schumacher memorial # 58845668 pictures of census pages can you remove them, they are of a different Schumacher family, Hans Schumacher and Grace Martin were not Robert C Schumacher parents.
Hans Schumacher1888-1970 is buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Battle Creek, Ida, County, Iowa, Find A Grave# 36912412
Grace Martin Schumacher # 23912455
Their sun was Robert Albert Schumacher #49434429, he married Mable Saxon #31580306
Thank You so very much

Hi there -
I was wondering if I may have my uncle Jess Andrew Linton's memorial transferred to me. I would appreciate it if it is at all possible.
