I live in Anderson County, TX. For the last five years, I have done volunteer work for the genealogy section of our local library. The library is developing a database of people buried in Anderson County. In the database, we have a gravestone photos, obituaries, death certificates (when available)for people buried here. It is a work in progress. It is an effort to make research simpler for people who come to our library to research family buried here. I have put much of my research on Find A Grave for the benefit of people who cannot come to Anderson County. Please feel free to email me with any photos or information that you have about people who are buried here. Unfortunately, I forget to look at my Public Messages very often so the quickest way to get in touch with me in by email.|
SECOND EMAIL ALERT: As far as I know, all of my computer problems are now solved. I just got my computer out of the shop and it seems to be working fine. My problems started in August, and I have had problems every since. Unfortunately,I have not been able to get online for over a month. They had to completely wipe the hard drive clean and install a new operating system, etc. If you have sent me a message lately, please be patient. I have scads of Find A Grave messages. If you want to, go ahead and resend your message. I am so sorry for the inconvience. Hopefully, we are good to go now.

I gave the wrong memorial number I am requesting memorial number 18729367. I have worked diligently and requested they fix Thomas maybe they will. As is he stands alone without his parents and grandparents. His father Thomas senior and mother Mary Summers are buried in Louisiana and another man shown as their son. My husband and sister-in-law Peggy Howland are just going to forget it. They really do not care about family history. I am alright with that. If they want it fixed they can do it. I have done all of this for my grandchildren and great-grandchildren. I will leave them a letter in bible with that information. As always I close bidding you peace.

No need to to apologize Louise. It was asking for an explanation in order to fulfill and remove the request and that was the best I could think of. haha

I submitted an edit for this individual based on information I had in my database which is confirmed by the obituary you posted on Find-a-Grave and the copy of his death certificate. He was actually born in 1882 in Teague, Freestone, Texas. You have 1892 for birth year, but he was married in 1904, and the obit mentions he moved from Teague, Freestone to Leon County. Thanks for all the volunteer work you perform.

Hopefully I have not written to you before, but I am trying to find Sarah Bowen Traylor's headstone. You note on Oliver Traylor's memorial #34317188 Oliver married Sarah Bowen. She died between 1880 and 1900, probably in Anderson Co, TX. Have you ever found her headstone in any of the Anderson cemeteries? Assumed she would be buried in Chambers - Day. I have been unable to find a death certificate.
If you find the headstone could you please photograph and make her a memorial page? The information I have gathered so far - Sarah Bowen was born 1826 in Grainger County Tennessee. She married Oliver Traylor around 1850. Thanking you in advance for any assistance you can give with this lost relative. Sandy
