Mt. Vernon Cemetery
I am in the process of getting in there possible ~ if you have a facebook there is a Friends of group..... I was wondering if you were able to see any other headstones in there like Albrecht, Ashenfelter, Borchers, March ~~~ these are a few of the names I am pretty sure are in there. I would welcome ANY information/Photos from in there......... Thank you both for all your hard work.

Hello Wayne,

Mt. Vernon can be "difficult" as you say. You are still required to call (215-229-6038) at least the day before you go, otherwise they will not admit.

I found this gravesite quite by chance when recording family of mine located nearby. From my recollection, go hard right on the road by the office (located by the the marble entrance gate) you will pass the famous "pyramid" monument. The road then turns sharp left. At the bottom of this you will see stone steps and a beautiful Greek revival urn monument. The Presbyterian church ledger stone is directly above, near the top of the steps.

Hope this helps, and good luck.
