I am the Funk family genealogist. I have been doing genealogy for the past 12 years. I actually traveled to Pennsylvania to see where my family came to this country. |
I am a descendant of Bishop Christian Funck. I visited the Mennonite Heritage Center at Harleysville, PA in 2002. It was a great experience. I saw many historic documents related to my family. Also, many historic buildings and the original Funck cemetery, Delp Burying Grounds.
My family contains the following family names:
Father: Cram, Funk (Funck), Leatherman
Mother: Gable, Schrader (Schroeder),
I am looking forward to helping on FAG.
Note: All photos taken by me and added to a memorial become the property of the member requesting them. I do not claim any rights to them. I am here to help others. Therefore, I will add any requested information or transfer any of my memorials, other than family members, to those who want to manage them. Also, I always keep the original photos if anyone would like one.

You are welcome.
FYI - Did you notice on a note that I sent you that Terrace Heights now has a Grave Locator?
I don't know if you are interested in it but I have found it very helpful.
HA on "Andy". I was that until about 18 and then turned it to the fem form when I went to college.
Love the history about your house behind the eatery.
I probably ate at Oscar's but to old to really remember. I think I may have been the only person that didn't frequent Miner's. In high school...it was Don's Drive-In on South 1st. Mostly after a few trips up and down the ave. :)
Best of holiday seasons to you and yours.
Is this the same building for your father's place? Hope the copy and paste link works. :) You'll have to copy and paste too I think.

You're welcome. I came from your rival school....IKE...and graduated in 1963 as well. :) My maiden name was Ritchey and you may have had my father as a principal....Harry Ritchey. Maybe that's why I remember your name...or perhaps because of some sport team roster???? Here's to Yakima...a great town to grow up in the 40's (I'm sure), 50's and 60's.
If you are Facebook there is a Growing Up in Yakima group. Kind of fun to read about peeps memories of the city.
Living in Tacoma now...
Hi, Not sure why mine didn't show when you did your search. Maybe because you put in "David" in the search too as I wasn't aware of his middle name. I usually search on last name only under the cemetery and then the death year to try to make sure I don't duplicate. Anyway....I'll delete mine as I'm not related, didn't know him and because you him linked to his father. Condolences in the loss of your friend.
BTW....did you go to school in Yakima? I'm from there and your name sounds familiar.

Gene, if you'd like to update one of your memorials Marion Dressler passed away on April 10, 2016. She was Andrew's wife and I"m sure they are buried together in College Place, WA. I just read her obituary.
Thanks, Tom Finney

I have submitted an 'edit' for the above 'Memorial'... Don't know if you have checked your edits? Please check on accept.
Thank you, 😇

You're sure welcome.

I just left some corrections for his birth and death date. The birth date comes from a legal transcription of Andrew's bible. If you are a descendant of Labern's I would be interested in any information you might have.
