So ... that's my father, or the man that I was raised by for nearly 30 years. (He was ruled step parent defacto by California court law.) and I would like to tell you that you have the date of his death listed incorrectly. August 14th, 2010 would be the date that he passed away. Just thought I should clear that up. Since I see my grandmother's (his mother's) grave in her photos, I know I'm at the correct one. I'd really appreciate if that can be updated and fixed? Somehow? Thank you. <3

|Sierrahh||Ida Miller Location|
Ida Schelhous Hecox Miller is buried just below the foot of the grave of her son James Monroe Hecox. In the mid-1980s there was a wooden marker dark brown and weathered down to the grain. Several years later it was gone. James Monroe Hecox's original grave marker was damaged then destroyed by vandals but has been replaced.
Source for location is a letter written in the 1950s from a family member who lived in Santa Cruz and had personal knowledge of the burial sites of Arthur Ross (grandson of Ida), James Monroe Hecox, and Ida.

Well, I went to the cemetery yesterday. Gary is the caretaker and he went through all the paperwork. He found the listing and the location of the grave, but there is no memorial there. No stone.
This graveyard is always under construction - they are always trying to improve it although it is not endowed.
I may stop by again to talk to Gary - he sometimes finds missing stones and replaces them.
