My maternal side of the family has been researched, traced back to England, and published. My paternal side has, to my knowledge, never been documented. As a matter of fact, we were always told the "records were lost". Since genealogy is apparently in my blood, I decided to embark on the journey to discover the true history of the family I really never knew too well. I am researching the following surnames in Texas, Alabama, Oklahoma, and Tennessee...so far...: Marshall, Belt, Russell, Bolt, Callis, Dean, and Bell. I hope to preserve this heritage for my two wonderful children Michael James Wellman and Ariel Raquel Wellman.|

|Peggy Smith Utz||Joseph Marshall|
Not sure I have the correct Marshall. However my grandmothers brother was Joseph Marshall. He lived in South Dakota for awhile. So I thought this may be him ?!?! Anyway, I left flowers on the grave site.

I am descended fro Gilbert Marshall and his daughter, my gr-grandmother, Mary Jane Marshall. I could give you all the Marshall genealogy if you still have need of it.
Also does anyone know the ancestry of NANCY STINNETT, Gilbert Marshall's first wife?

Hello, I have also been researching my family and I am having a heck of a time. I noticed that you left virtual flowers at my grandparent's headstones so I decided to write you a message. I was just wondering if you maybe knew them or in some way found out how you were related. Please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org

I am also researching my Marshall line...and like Sherry, I have done the ancestry.com DNA test.
I also have put my DNA and family tree on GEDMATCH. ..it's free,and lets you see which chromosomes show where the match is located.
I don't know if there is a way to add my male cousins DNA to Family Tree DNA Marshall project...but one of my male cousins has done that test too..but no matches so far.
I have tracked William Obediah Marshall to being born in 1784 in Barnstead,Belknap,NH according to the information HE gave on his War of 1812 enlistment paperwork!
My g grandfather Charles Amos Marshall went to Reno,Parker,TX about 1892, where son Lavina Aloyious "Lee" Marshall was born. I don't know if his daughter Goldie P. Marshall was born in Texas, or if he was already back in Missouri when she was born. He moved to Portland, Oregon about 1900...but my grandfather ran away and went to Kentucky.
If you do the ancestry.com DNA. ..and you see a match to marshkar56...please contact me!
