RE: Caldwell family
Thank you so much. William Robert Caldwell born in Randolph County, AL, and he was born 10/8/1864; Leonard Caldwell, Sr. was born 11/17/1882; Leonard Caldwell, Sr. was born 5/23/1918.

All three lived in Florida and died in Florida. My grandfather, Leonard Caldwell, Sr died in October 1951, and my father LC, Jr. died in December 1951 - just two months apart.

I have managed to straighten some things out today after about 10+ hours of work. It was quiet and there were no distractions. Blessings+

James Blanton Caldwell
I was born Jean Caldwell to Leonard Caldwell, Jr. in Tampa, FL, son of Leonard Caldwell, Sr. (Lakeland, FL), son of William Robert Caldwell (Randolph Co., AL and Lakeland, FL). My father died at age 32, we moved, was adopted and became a “Carrison”. Knowing I was really a Caldwell, I have always signed my paintings “Caldwell”. My granddaughter and her husband are expecting a little boy and they have told me he will be named Caldwell. Therefore, I’m trying to figure out my ancestry records for him! Here is where I’m confused: my records indicate that James Blanton Caldwell is the father of my great grandfather, William Robert Caldwell. I have never found another confirmation record for James Blanton Caldwell. At one point Ancestry indicated this and showed Richard Hornbuckle Caldwell and Harriet Louisa Waller as his parents. PLEASE help if possible. Email: jeandodd1958@gmail.com. Blessings+

Margaret

Thanks for filling in his info. My computer is on it's last leg and it likes to shut down whenever it wants. It doesn't care what I'm doing or if I saved my work. :)

RE: Charles M. Caldwell
How do you do, Mrs Caldwell? Thanks so much for contacting me! Private Charles Mitchell "Mitt" Caldwell, Senior is an ancestor your husband shared with my mother:

I. John Colwell (immigrant) = Mary Black
II. Colonel Edward Colwell = Tabitha Hill
III. John Colwell, Senior = Sarah Wilkinson
IV. Second Lieutenant William Colwell, Senior = (second wife) Sarah "Sally" Hornbuckle
V. Richard Hornbuckle Caldwell = Harriet Louise Waller
VI. Private Charles Mitchell "Mitt" Caldwell, Senior = (second wife) Elizabeth "Eliza" Hutchinson
VII. William Alexander Caldwell = (Margaret?) Elizabeth "Lizzie" Gates
VIII. Benjamin Franklin "Ben" Caldwell = Martha Ruth "Minnie" Baker
IX. Bessie Mae Caldwell = Frederick David "Fred" Carroll, Senior
X. Mattie Lou Carroll = Private Roger Lee Pierce
XI. (living) Pierce = (living) Carpenter
XII. Jacob Kyle Carpenter (me)

Charles, Senior's daughter-in-law may have been named Margaret, but I cannot find proof outside good circumstantial evidence in the 1870 Alabama Census.

RE: Boney website
Margaret, it has taken so long to reply to this, and I am sorry about that. I discovered that I had been removed somehow from the Boney Facebook page. I had to request to join again and send an email as a trigger. I have now been approved and am a member again. So, this morning I sent you an invitation to join our FB page. Had to use your email address. Be on the lookout for a notice email for you to join. Let me know if you have trouble, and Ill send an email to Judy on your behalf.

Sorry about that. Photo deleted. Find A Grave keeps freezing up and putting my photos on the wrong memorial!

Hi Margaret,

I agree. Martha Butler was married to Reuben Young Williamson on 24 Jan 1841 in Monroe County, Georgia. But her name is listed as Martha Williamson instead of Martha Butler Williamson on her Find A Grave page.

Thanks,
Lynn
