My passions in life are my family, genealogy,
gardening,and writing.

I started climbing my family tree when I was twelve, and haven't stopped yet!

Many of my ancestors came to America for religious reasons. I have traced them through
just about every war that America has taken part in.

"Turning Hearts" comes from the last verse in The Old Testament, Malachi 4: 6.

QUOTES AND POEMS THAT I LIKE:

It is a second death after you are forgotten.
How many generations does it take, even in a close knit family, for the fabric to unravel....?
Albert Lewis, Jewish Rabbi

"The bitterest tears shed over graves are for words left unsaid and deeds left undone." Harriet Beecher Stowe

"And death hath come upon our fathers; nevertheless we know then, for a Book of Remembrance we have written among us, according to the pattern of God." Moses 6: 45-46

"It isn't the date on either end that counts
But how they used their dash
For that dash between the dates
Represent the time they spent alive on earth.
And now only those who loved them know
What that little line is worth."
William Elliot Dudley

Those we love, don't go away
They walk beside us every day
Unseen, unheard, but always near
--Still loved, still missed and
Very dear.

WHAT CANCER CANNOT DO
Cancer is so limited..
It cannot cripple Love
It cannot shatter Hope
It cannot corrode Faith
It cannot destroy Peace
It cannot kill Friendship
It cannot suppress Memories
It cannot silence Courage
It cannot invade the Soul
It cannot steal Eternal Life
It cannot conquer the Spirit
Cancer is so limited!

Transition by William Cullen Bryant

So live that when that summons
comes to join
The innumerable caravan which moves
To that mysterious realm where each
shall take
His chamber in the silent halls of death,
Thou go not like the quarry slave
at night,
Scourged to his dungeon, but, sustained
and soothed
By an unfaltering trust, approach
thy grave
Like one who wraps the draperies of
his couch
About him and lies down to pleasant
dreams.

You are most welcome. We are all hopeful there will be a headstone but given there isn't one, know that he's buried in a really lovely part of the cemetery. This cemetery is very well cared for. Pat

This grave is unmarked. I have added a photo of the plot showing the location to the right of the headstone in the photo. Pat

You're very welcome. It is always disappointing not finding a marker.

I noticed you still have a request for Thomas John at Rosedale and Rosehill Cemetery. Did the cemetery confirm there is no marker?

RE: George Feeley
on the caption I wrote:

Please call 650-755-0580 and get the grave location and add to the memorial so that we can get you some photos.

George Praddy Feeley who died in 1955 is in Spruce Lot 84, grave 12.

I don't see a location for a George Feeley who died in 1957

Blessings toward you and yours, TurningHearts...and sorry that DeForest Flowler was not found; there is plenty of room for him by parents and brother Grove so I suspect he's unmarked with them, but their lot is lovely with those fall-blooming trees!

RE: Florence Feeley
my pleasure

this is a tough cemetery on Find A Grave as GRAVES uploaded tons of records but included folks who were not even buried there ....

RE: Florence Feeley
there is No headstone.
This person was cremated by the services offered at Cypress lawn.
You can check with the office to see if a family member collected the remains.
