They all settled in Trenton and Bergen County, NJ; as well as, Sussex County, Delaware, Rockland, Suffolk & King's County, NY and Fairfield County, CT. The prominent names associated with them are: Lockwood, Turse/Toers/Tuers, Bowers, Granger, Stanier, Federlichner, Vallerie,Grindrod, Matthew, Zabriskie, Straut, Corne, Rae, Rudlun, Conklin, Clark, Andrew, Lauth, Benjamin, Kemp, Howell, Terry, Gardiner and Hallock.

I am also interested in my wife's genealogy. Her ancestors are primarily from Germany and England. They initially settled in Broome County, NY, Eastern, PA & Southern, NJ. The prominent names are: Schiffhauer, Woodruff, Stokes, Selby, Barnes, Trimble, Braddock, Bradway, Fogg, Hall, Merrit, Pitt, Wood, Wunder, Faust, Hancock, Seifert, Somers, Townsend & Ware. They concentrated in Salem, Cumberland & Camden counties New Jersey, Binghamton NY and Bethlehem PA.

Denton news article
I believe so. One of my Denton relatives married Early Granger. John Granger and my Denton family lived very close to each other in Queens in the 1840 census, Then in the 1850 census they lived very close to each other in Brioklyn. I assume they were very close. The name is James Denton and wife Jane.

Denton Family in Cypress Hills
Hi Doug,
I have several death certificates for several of my Denton family members that are buried in Cypress Hills.
I'd like to add the information, but I'm not quite sure how to do it.

Is it simple?

I have info on James, Jane, William Denton and Lucretia Pollack.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Leicester Lockwood
Hi, Doug. Thanks for your edit on Lester. Have you been able to find an exact date of death for him? I have his SS Applications and Claims Index with a date of 4 Jan 1946, although that's a life claim (for retirement or disability).

RE: Memorial # 74468870
I actually do not know. I would not have entered a name with no dates if I had a source such as obituary etc. I can only assume I saw a dateless stone from a cemetery visit in this case. I hope this helps.

J.J. Straut 159921344
Hi again, ok, further down the page is a J.J. Straut. so he now too has a memorial. but do I link those two together? Figured I would check with you. since I am entering from a transcript, you might want to check periodically for new memorials. JoE

Mrs. J. J. Straut 159921060
Hi, I just recently added a memorial for Mrs. Straut. She died in 1906. I noticed a memorial for a J.J. Straut, but his wife died later on. Since Straut's are in your family, I was wondering if you knew who she was. I would love to give her first name. There is also another Mrs. Straut with no first name also right by her. Other Straut's might have also been added, as I am going thru an old cemetery transcript. I figured you might want to know..........JoE

RE: Providence Mounts pic
Thanks ! Seems to be a bit of confusion with people and them attaching it to the wrong generation.
