I began researching my genealogy in 2002 trying to prove my Native American ancestry (which I have yet to find - haha). In the last year I began seriously working on the genealogy (almost every day) and stumbled across FindAGrave.com while doing research.|
This site has been very helpful in my search for family and volunteers taking photos for me helped clear-up some spellings and dates. It is because of these volunteers helping me that I decided to give back to the FAG community by becoming a volunteer myself.
Now, I have fun writing to cemeteries for maps and records and going to the cemeteries to photograph stones. It has been and will continue to be both enjoyable and educational. Sometimes I take a friend or family member with me. We love hunting stones and reading some of the interesting markers in the area while searching.

We respectfully request permission to use the cemetery sign photo in our online tree with credit. Marie has a cousin interred there and the photo will make a great addition.
Thanks for your consideration.

Nevermind! I just found your explanation on Sabra Palmer's memorial. Wow, how confusing!
|Teresa Seloske||Augustinus Shue|
Can you please help me understand why you have 2 memorials for Augustinus Shue and his wife Maria Merkel Shue? One is memorial #20855230 in Cardiff Cemetery in Cardiff, NY, and the other is #20495649 in Christian Hollow Cemetery in LaFayette, NY? They are my 5th great-grandparents.

|Kimberly Rayborn||Question about cemetery|
I am looking for a picture of Shubael Preston's grave at the Old Belgium Cemetery, Lysander, Onondaga, New York. "Shubael Preston, Private...Died October 17, 1846, aged 88 y'rs"
One account says in 1998 that most all the stones were broken except for three.

Yes, that would be nice. Just let me know when you do it.
And remind me of their numbers again. William White is my 4th great grandfather
|Valerie Reynolds||Emmet Northrup|
I am writing about another person in the Bromely Cemetary
Emmet Northrup 20775682
Emmet Jesse b 1893 Bromley, son of Ewing James Northrup and Etta Ingerson
I do not know, at this time, hie death year.
|Valerie Reynolds||William White|
I am writing about my 4th great-grandfather's grave. You have him buried in the Bromely Cemetery, is it the same as Tully Lake? That is what my parents called it.
William is grave 20775686 He was born Oct 20, 1763 in what was then Little Hoosic, MA. It may now reside in Columbia Co, NY
You have another White- Henry 20775685
Henry is William's brother
As of yet, I do not know if the Northrups and Whites in this cemetery are related. William's son James married a Jerusha Northrup.
|George Stoughton||Spafford Hollow Cemetery|
I am great-great granddaughter of Stephen and Emma Weeks Masters and have information and photos (gravestones and person) for them and other family members. Would you be interested in adding these to the cemetery information on findagrave? Will transfer info with your permission.
