Hello! My name is Peggy (Hatten) Townsend. Nevada Fanning Hatten and Charles Edgar Hatten are my parents. My Father passed away on 10-22-2008 and is buried in Camden, Ark. My Mother is still alive. If u need any further info, I would be happy to help. God Bless.

I am sorry that this is so delayed; I do not check this site often. I regret that I have no information for you. In looking back over my records, the last time I heard from Nevada was about 2008. Her husband, Charles, was very ill (in fact, I believe that he passed away at the end of 2008 or beginning of 2009). I did not hear from her after that time; the email address I had for her is not valid anymore. She was so extremely helpful to me in my Fanning research. I have two quilts that she made me that are quite precious to me. Again, I wish I could be of more help. I descend directly from Jacob Fanning and Catherine Hamlin/Hamblin, through their daughter, Mary Ellen Fanning, who married William Madison Carmack of Sullivan County, Missouri.

Charles are you related to the Swearingen's. If so how? Why I'm asking is that I found out that Daniel was a veteran of the Mexican War, he received a pension (Pension Certificate # 19,422 filed 21 Feb 1887). I can not find an application for a military stone! From what I saw at the cemetery he just has a regular stone. I have submitted his name to the local Gen Soc to include him among the veterans.
I added photos to your requests for Prairie Flower Cemetery. I have several other Cranes, did you want me to send you the photos or make the memorials? Either way is fine with me...

Hi! I'm alittle tied up for a couple days but I will check on this as soon as I can - I'll stop out to the Catholic cemetery to see what I can find. Will keep you posted. JoAnn

You're very welcome. Next time I'm down in Bedford I will try to find their daughter so she has a photo as well.
