My name is Janet Jones. I live in San Antonio TX with the love of my life, my husband Charles Jones. I am a mom of 4 (3 girls and 1 boy), 1 yorkie, 1 weenie dog, 1 siamese cat and 2 guinea pigs! I have 2 wonderful stepdaughters and am very blessed to have their 5 children call me Ma! I also have 1 granddaughter who lives with us making a total of 6 grandchildren which makes me super blessed!|
I began genealogy as a request to help a family member and since it has grown into a full time hobby. I love discovering and seeing my family grow with each new day.
I love digging through old records and walking cemeteries for hours trying to imagine the stories that go with the names.
I enjoy even more connecting a name with an event and lose myself in the past.
I try very hard to document EVERYTHING I do so if you have some information that will help out or even if you have a question please contact me. If you find an error I have made please let me know so that I may fix it!

|Shelia Eckert||This is my family|
My grandfather was Miles Eckert from first Miles, Tx then moved to Fluvanna and eventually lived in San Angelo. He is buried in the Miles Cemetery. My aunt Mary Eckert in Big Spring, Tx did have genealogy information. I looked up Frank, my great grandfather and found Daniel. The picture of him as a young man really was a shock. The males in my family have a very very strong resemblance to him! I sent a screenshot to my brother and he said "that looks like me!"
My grandfather had 7 children: Elmer, Charlie Edwin (my father), Mattie Edith, Lester Dan, Annie, Miles Albert and Mary Ellen. Now Mattie, Miles Albert and Mary are all that are left. I know that my great grandfather also had a wife named Gertrude. I remember seeing her in my grandfather's neighborhood in San Angelo. She was not much older than my grandfather and was wonderful little old lady. I am not sure where she was buried. I assume she was buried in San Angelo or in Miles Cemetery in a family plot.

I was raised two miles from the Cemetery and have lots of family in it. I can probably get a copy of where the graves are located you requested photos of marker or not.
I have been working on the Wood/Kelley genealogy. I have no problem sharing info. The Kelley side goes back to the Revolutionary War. They are actually GERMAN, not IRISH.

I notice you placed a flower on my great uncle's site and I was wondering if you are family? If so or if you know something about him I would like to pick your brain about him and some others in the family. Thanks for a response.
|Carolyn Hebbe McLeod||Mattie Vesta Bishop Crouch|
Mattie Crouch, memorial #98581800, was my 1st cousin 2x removed from my Bishop family.
If she was not a member of your family, would you please consider transferring her memorial to me?
I would transfer her memorial if I received a request from a closer family member.
I have tried several times through the edit tab on her memorial to maybe get her memorial transferred. I don't know if there was a problem in receiving the requests.
Thank you for your help in getting this family member transferred to me.
|Marcia Whitaker Smith||Minnie Estelle Crouch Pardika|
I'm sorry to have to do a public message but for some reason, my computer says this program will open outside of protected mode. I am Marcia Whitaker Smith. My mother was Elma Crouch Whitaker Goddard, born in Saluda and is buried at Travis Park Cemetery in Saluda. I have the Crouch family history which was completed by my Aunt Aline Crouch Sample in the 70s and a supplement done in 1982. #76914241 is actually Minnie Estelle Crouch Gardner. Minnie married Andrew Wilson Gardner on Jan 18, 1911. They had two children, Hubert Crouch Gardner and Andrew Wilson Gardner. Minnie and her husband, Andrew, are buried at Shiloh Methodist Church in Saluda. My great-grandfather, Hardy Crouch, donated the land for the church and cemetery. My great-grandmother, Franzoura Smith Crouch who died in June 1892, is the first person that was buried in this cemetery. I go to Saluda often to see my last Crouch aunt who is 95 years old. I will be going to Shiloh UMC to get pictures of the graves. Please correct this information for Minnie Estelle Crouch. Thank you. PS Minnie's father, Hardy Gamewell Crouch, was married 5 times. I am hoping to add more siblings to the list.

Hi Janet! I don't know if you remember me, but I messaged you about 2 years ago, asking if you by chance had any Jackson family pictures. My great-grand father was Henry Jackson the brother of Daniel Jackson who you said your husband is related to. I'm always on the hunt for pictures and info and I have a few of Henry's family. I hope to hear from you. Thanks- Susan Jackson
|Mrs. Bee||RE: Cemeteries you have photographed|
Hazel Gertrude Johnson, married to William J. Carson, was the daughter of Georgia Zenetta Hobbs, daughter of Mary Elizabeth Ray, daughter of Ann Elizabeth Dean, sister to my Alsey Thomas dean, father of Irena Viola Dean, mother of Lessie Carpenter, mother of Pauline Hampton, and me. I know it is extremely distant, but I like to have a picture of some sort with each person at Ancestry.com. It reminds people that the person actually did live. I would love to have old portrait type pictures, but find that that is sometimes not available. So tombstone pictures have to do.
Thank you for allowing me to use it. If you want to exchange information about the Deans or their descendants, please get in touch with me at email@example.com.

|Mrs. Bee||Cemeteries you have photographed|
I am trying to update my files at Ancestry.com. You have posted photographs of tombstones of some of my distant relatives who lived in Texas. May I have your permission to use these tombstone photographs? I will gladly cite you as the source. Thank you.

|Theresa Ardoin Van Meter||Thanks!|
Thank you so much, Janet, for transferring the Ardoin family to me. I truly appreciate this, and will be working diligently on them to add some of our family's history to each of them.
