I understand and hope that you don't mind that I'm going to believe the altered version of that?It would seem to me that the newspaper you're referring to was erroneously date to me since both the church graveyard and St. Mary's County,Maryland marriage certificates have something different.Do you think that it's at all possible that his Ann Panny Millaed Spaulding first married Zachariah Mattingly than after his death married Clement Mattingly Jr. whom appears in the War of 1812 records as a Sergeant of the Army with whom she had children with sincwe his fertility levels might have been off the charts?

Hi Dennis my name is Timothy I've examined the date of death on the tombstone also I've got census records saved to my tree on ancestry.com.This is Clement Mattingly Jr. that was born 1810 which is the year of birth when deducted from 1867.The U.S. Census records also prove it too.Yes he was born from Ann Spaulding the record to date for the oldest age a woman has given natural conception and had a live child birth to date was in England and she was 52 years old at conception and on the birth control pill and had the child also at 52 years old.People in those days were uneducated and ignorant without a clear understanding of modern science.Hi father was Clement Mattingly Sr. the Sergeant in the army.Although according to the 1820 U.S. Census which his surname was misspelled he had an older sister.I don't believe your bio goes into detail about her?Do you have any information on her?Also the other way I know his father was Clement Mattingly Sr. was the St. Mary's County marriage licenses state so.The St. Mary's county marriage licenses say nothing about a Zachariah Mattnigly marrying Ann Spaulding.I just wanted to help you get your facts straight and perfected.

Thanks so much for your help with Clarence Carpenter. I'm relieved that he is now linked up to his relatives who are a bet scattered.

He was my first cousin, but never met him. Knew his Mother, my Aunt. His Mother was Ethel Mae Sloan Carpenter #170938437. His Father was J Harold Carpenter #28810241. Could you please link them up?
|William Mattingly||RE: Rose Loretta Mattingly|
I'm batting zero on all three of Benjamin's wives. Seems there's nothing out there at all. If I do find something I'll certainly pass it along.
|William Mattingly||Rose Loretta Mattingly|
Hope the year has begun well for you Dennis. I don't know if you have an answer for this or not but thought I'd run it past you, just in case. I think Rose Loretta was herself a Mattingly and daughter of Benjamin Henry Mattingly and Mary Ann Brooke. So far I haven't been able to verify that belief.

Thanks for the write-up about the shooting. I had hard the story before but the info you provided was a great addition to Find-a-Grave.
