Just a friend!|
Please understand that I have no control over the names, words and dates engraved on stones, written on death certificates or provided in obituaries. I didn't write them. I'm only providing those previously written words to you.
I have been an active contributor on this site for over 15 years, so yes it stands to reason that I have a fair number of memorials that I have entered, added to and lovingly care take even though they may not be a branch of my own family. It's quite possible that if I had not entered the memorial to begin with, you may not have been able to find them.
Individuals using this site need to realize that we are all volunteers and do not need to deal with abusive behavior or rudeness just because we won't make a transfer to someone who has registered two days or two months ago and want every memorial on the site with the surname of Jones. Or a transfer of a memorial of someone who they think just might be a fifth cousin, four times removed of their third ex-husband.
If you are new to this site, PLEASE read the "Frequently Asked Questions" located "HERE". If you take just a moment to familiarize yourself with these guidelines, it will definitely help yours and everyone else's state of mind, blood pressure and headaches. Just a hint, most people will not respond to your liking when bullying tactics are used.
If you will please use the "Edit" tab located on each memorial, I will be more than happy to correct, edit or add information to a memorial that is meaningful. I will not add all of the information from the past ten census records that have been released or any distasteful or disturbing messages.
Please be kind. We all make mistakes from time to time. If I have made a mistake or created a duplicate memorial later than one you have created, please use the "Edit" tab and send me the correction or let me know of the duplication and it will be taken care of quickly.
I will make transfers using the "Guidelines" if they are not a relative of mine. I will transfer your children, siblings, parents, grandparents or great-grandparents. All other requested transfers will be considered if you use the "Edit" feature and state your relationship or intended need for the memorial.
Lastly and most importantly, there are so many absolutely wonderful people that use Find-A-Grave! I am very appreciative for all of the suggested corrections, additional information and photos that have been provided. Please don't allow the rude, abusive and sometimes rather bizarre behavior of individuals to curb your enthusiasm or your want to help others.

Thank you for your additional work to update the site with information I found in my grandmother's family Bible regarding Elva J Carlley.
God bless you.

I saw that you posted a photo of Louise Goldammer on the above memorial. Loretta was my Aunt and I visited with her several times over the years. I assume that the young child in the photo is Loretta. Is there any writing on the back of photo? Also would you give me permission to use the photo in my family history and pass it along to Loretta's three sons? Loretta was married to my father's brother.
Thank you for adding that photo. I am now working on Loretta's parents.
|JFH||Please add Bio for Phoebe Campbell Burris|
Can you please send me an email address so that I can send you a bio for Phoebe Campbell Burris that has been written by her Granddaughter? Would you prefer that she join Find A Grave and ask for a transfer of her family members? JEH # 485-31678

|Marcy TANTER||Julia Runge 1952|
Hi. Are you related to Julia? if so, please contact me. I have a question.
|L Moses||Mem 174777293 George White|
I am working on a historical project looking for the veterans who served in the Civil War and are related to Calhoun County, IL. The above soldier I believe is on of my missing in action men. Although he was from Illinois he signed up with a Missouri regiment as St. Louis was just across the Mississippi from Calhoun. I am hoping that somewhere in your records for this memorial you have his Regimental Unit as the 6th MO INF. If you have a photograph of the headstone that would be excellent.
Thank you in advance for your efforts,

|Judy Grubb Smith||Albert Hammond|
I see you have a picture of his headstone on the site you created in Nov. However, I have a site for him that I created in March which has links to it 143311949. Would you be kind enough to add your photo to my site and delete yours or combine the two sites. I do not know how to combine sites so any help would be appreciated.

|William Mills||Hattie Buck Furman|
Please consider removing the photo from memorial # 20411197. She wasn't married to Luke Short, the famous gunfighter. Hetty J. Buck (born in New York) married James M. Furman in 1884, and they had children together for the next twenty years. Hattie Beatrice Buck (born in ILL) married Luke Short in 1887. Thank You, William
