Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have lived in Preble county, Ohio all my life. I love history and this area is rich in it. I grew up running around the historical society and all the wonderful people there instilled a love of history. I'm currently trying to find more info on the veterans buried in the county. Any info is greatly appreciated!

If you find that I have wrong info on any memorial I have contributed then please click the edit link at the top right of the page. It may take a few days but I'm more than happy to change it. If you would like me to transfer a memorial to you, please use the edit link to ask. You must define a specific relationship. Not just "I knew the person". If I find the reasoning or relationship good enough, and within FAG rules, then the memorial is yours.

PLEASE DO NOT PLACE BIO INFORMATION IN THE MEMORIAL FLOWERS!! IF U SEND IT TO ME IN THE EDIT TAB I WILL HAPPILY PLACE IT IN THE PROPER SPACE!

Also, please bear with me as my Cholera cemeteries and Veterans cemeteries are works in progress. I am currently going through Preble County's Veterans WPA files and it a long process, as there are over 12,000 veterans buried in our county. Please also feel free to use any photo or memorial I have created in your family histories. Thank you!

ATTENTION...

***It may take me a while to process your edits or answer and take care of messages. I recently underwent surgery for cancer. I've been in and out of the hospital due to complications. I will take care of everything as soon as I am able. Thank you for your patience and understanding!!!***

RE: John Peach - Newton Cemetery
Good morning! Thank you so much for offering to see what you can dig up on him. He is the only Peach listed on Find A Grave for the Preble County area. I think there are only 6 in Montgomery County and 5 of them are related. The 6th one, George Peach, I have no information on. Iíll have to do some digging to see what family tree he belongs to.

I am so happy to hear that you are cancer free. YAY!!! But sorry to hear that you are having some complications from the surgery. I have a friend that has trouble with infections from the site where herís was removed. Which reminds me, I need to call her to see how she is doing today. I hope and pray that you will be back to good health again soon. You have gone through enough. It is time for good things to come your way. You deserve it.

Thank you for all you do for Find A Grave. It is very much appreciated. And so is you offering to help me.

Take care and may angels watch over you and keep you in their loving care.

John Peach - Newton Cemetery
Hi Sarah,

I hope this finds you doing well and in remission.

I was wondering if you have any information about John Peach. I am a member of a Yahoo Peach family group and we are curious about John Peach. We are trying to link him with other Peach families. Any information regarding him would be much appreciated.

Thank you for your time. I pray that angels watch over you and keep you in their loving care.

Hello Sarah,
Since the email address said that, I'm assuming it's your name. I'm unsure of how I ended up here. I read your profile & I wanted to say, I'm a laryngectomee & a 17 yr. cancer survivor. So...I wanted to wish you all the best after your surgery & I'll be praying for you.
May the Creator bless you with good health,
Sue

duplicate John Runyon - Friendship Cemetery
These two memorials (Memorial# 135791122 and Memorial# 119622004) are duplicates. Since yours is the newer one it should be removed.

RE: Isaac Duckwiler
Hi! I cannot remember if I ever replied or even saw your post...and now it's been over 3 yrs. My 2x great grandmother was Francis Duckwiler (1833), also a daughter of Isaac and Salinah!
Francis married James Hubbard and their daughter, Julia Ann (1868), was my great grandmother.
Julia Ann Hubbard and Samuel Shelton McDaniel (1865)were married in 1890.
Their son was my grandfather, Jesse Damon McDaniel.
Jesse Damon (1903-1980)and Ola Johnson (1907-1991)
had a son, Ronald Lee McDaniel (1935-1989, my Dad, may he rest in peace.
So yes, if all of my research is on right track, we are, indeed, cousins!

memorial # 134656962 and # 134657049
Good Day Dear History Buff!
My message to you is 2 fold. I first must thank you for your volunteer hours on this web site! You are indeed helping many of us locate the interment sites of souls who's memorials would other wise be lost in time. You are a very kind person to also share any photos and grant permission in advance. Very productive!
My 2nd 1/2 is to ask your help with the 2 memorials you added back in 2014, as I am pretty sure: # 134656962 and # 134657049 are the same body, and this gentleman was actually already in FindAGrave.com back in 2008, added by Digger4Genealogy as memorial # 24425626.
The only way I came onto this, was as I was helping someone with their 'Aydelott' family branches in Ancestry.com and can understand the confusion (believe me). This soul is documented with his first name & later with his middle name:
Isaac Newton Aydelotte b.1847 & d.1910; [ & Im guessing there was no stone marker, as none of the 3 memorials created have a photo]. No worries, I guess, but you sounded like one who really cares about this hobby, and Ive not come accross a matter like this before and felt I should share. Meanwhile, happy headstone hunting! (and sincerely, thank you for all that you are doing for us miles and miles away from these interment resting sites!
Best Wishes!
Darlene
