Bio and Links
Bio Photo I joined findagrave as a volunteer after using it to find my family. I have been a history buff since childhood and this is an extension of that as well as a way to pursue my love of photography. A couple of years ago on a trip to DC with my mom and dad. I went to Arlington Cemetery with my mom. It started to storm and my mom has trouble walking so I took her list of graves she wanted to find and took a speed trip walking quickly around the cemetery looking for graves and dodging rain. While tough and tiring especially in the heat and humidity, the excitement of finding someone I was looking for was well worth it. I get that same rush finding a grave for someone. Its a piece of their history as well. I am still looking for my own family in NC(Holcomb(e), Mastin, Poole, Mac(s)emore, Childress.

RE: John Calvin Tilley
I'm sure we have the exact location of the headstone at home on our computer somewhere.

We went wading thru weeds down in West Virginia in July 2001.

He's my Grandfather, not sure how many greats.

Hi Jennifer! Just wanted to let you know the following two graves are the same person.

This is my husband's Great Grandfather. He said that when his Grandmother Arizona passed a new stone displaying both names was placed. I do not know how to combine the two. Maybe move the image of the old stone to the new stones page? Not sure. Just a thought, lol.

You fulfilled a photo request for me in July of 2010. I believe I asked for your permission then, but never did use the photo for my research. Would you allow me to use the photo?

Hi Jennifer,

I too am a researcher of ancestors in Surry and Yadkin counties in NC and really appreciate you taking photos of graves in those counties. A question I have is do you care if your photos are being copied and used by people on their family pages on Some people want to preserve the copyright of their photos and others don't care and let anyone copy them, so thought I'd ask. Your name is shown in the lower right corner of the photo which makes it hard to see, and easy to crop out, so was just wondering.
