After dabbling with genealogy since 1984, about 1992 was when I really began digging into it. Sure have learned a lot of history and geography along the way!
I find it touching that so many writing their wills in the 1800's and before, willed their souls to God.

RE: Harlw Family
Hello, I married a Harlow who is related to Sgt. William Harlow of Plymouth so have been doing lots of work on that line.
Thanks so much for your inquiry.

Find A Grave Memorial# 85464373
Hi! I asked Find a Grave for a photo of my ancestor's grave (May McGhie, #85464373) but was told she is buried in the "Great Mausoleum" and a photo was not possible. We are wondering why she isn't with her husband (Find A Grave Memorial# 85464372) who died 8 years earlier. Of course you can't answer that, but it's curious. Can you tell me what the Great Mausoleum, Sanctuary of Piety, Iris Terrace is like?

Sorry, I don't have a picture or any further information. If you enter a Photo Request someone who lives near there might get a picture for you.

Back when I compiled spreadsheets for submission to Find A Grave there was no column for Bio information (and maybe there still isn't...), so some went in the Transcription field, and other info went in the Notes field. In most cases what I put in the Transcription field has turned out to actually be on the marker, but when it's brought to my attention that it isn't, I'll delete it or move it to the Bio area.

RE: Ellen S. Tillson Standish
I've updated the records and updated Henry's a little too. I'll be in Middleboro this weekend and will take a better picture of the stone, know right where it is. (I spend a lot of time in Middleboro cemeteries!)
The medallion in the picture (Imperial Order of Redmen)had been on top of the stone because the metal post is gone. Notice in the picture the area on the face of the stone that is clear or moss/lichen due to the repellant properties of the material in the medallion. Just like the beautiful Tillson monument I just saw for one of Ellen's relatives. The cast nickel monuments don't get growth on them and they remain in great shape. (A lot were made by Sears & Roebuck!)
My mother's maiden name is Tillson so I've done a lot of work on that tree for many years. How wonderful you have a wealth of family treasures! She's off the Stephen Tillson (1717-1762) line.
Best regards, Sarah

According to your suggestion, Edward married two years after he died? Can you send the correct death date please? Thanks!

RE: Lucy Adams Surrell
You're welcome, I was happy to receive your note. No, I'm only related in spirit- my mother was also a young widow with five kids, so I felt a connection to Lucy, and was very touched that she was held in such high regard in the community. I often visit her grave, and I'm really glad to know she has family thinking about her.

RE: Mary Sedman
I can do that, but in a little bit. It was quite a puzzle!
