Bio and Links
Bio Photo There seems to be a FLAW in the way the new edits are being done, spouses are coming up in bright RED UNKNOWN, when in FACT it is RIGHT, I have had this happen when I send edits also, hopefully this can be fixed. I have been saving the spouse # and re-adding it after the edit is done.

PLEASE use the EDIT to ask for transfers, with your ID # and the PHOTO REQUEST if you want a photo of the stone for EACH person listed. I try to get other family near the one requested in case they are not already listed, but if they are already listed it is nice if you also request them. I print off the requests from the computer, and the "notes" don't show if you ask for other family members. If there are a lot of requests only the ones listed might be taken when it's a quick stop. You have my permission to use my photos of the stones for your family records.

It is my wish that everyone is remembered, this is my way of helping make it happen. We all will make mistakes, I'm happy to make changes and transfer loved ones always hoping that you can add to their memorials. I just want to help, when I find more information and send an edit, it is sad when that isn't added. I am so thankful for the ones that put family of ours on, some we had no idea where were, so you can see what a blessing Find A Grave has been.

I know it's important to have "facts", some think an official document such as birth, marriage or death certificate is correct. Sadly that is NOT always correct. There will always be conflicting information. Don't get upset when there is an error, just do your best to try to have it corrected, when there is another source, add the information in a note for one or the other. Try to always be nice, this site is great to help find our roots and follow all the branches. :) Genealogy = Confusing the dead and annoying the living.-by Unknown Author. I'm sure I "annoy" quite a few. I use ~ to mean not just now, but always~

Gere
The following is the Find A Grave memorial that someone created for John Nelson Gere. I'm sure you have already looked at this memorial.

https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=82468516

According to the Hawaii State Death Index, a small portion of which is located in the Hawaii State Library, John N. Gere died in Honolulu on May 21, 1928. Registered No. 3981, Vol 139, is the reference for this particular entry. The index does not have any further details.

Now that I know exactly when he died, I'll sked some time to get over to the library and see if I can find the obit in a local newspaper.

Thanks for the additional article ref Giles Gere. I'll probably add it to the memorial in the next day or so.

Take care. David.

John Muirhead
I would sincerely like to thank you for your hard work and pictures of the headstones of my mom's uncle John Muirhead and Aunt Helen Law Muirhead. My grandpa was deceased when my mom got married so uncle John was her surrogate father and gave permission for mom and dad to get married. I have felt close to him even though we never met. Memory lane!! Thanks again. It goes well in my virtual cemeteries with the rest of the Muirhead family in Iowa. Sincerely, Margaret Ford Campbell

RE: Addie Wilcox
Luella,

Thanks so much! I do watch the Table Rock Historical Page and my dad loved it. I spent many summers on vacation in Table Rock and love that little town. It is sad now that the Addie (my grandma) and Ernest (my grandpa) family is now all gone. I hope they are having a wonderful reunion in heaven. We sure miss them here on earth.

Warmly,

Carrie (Wilcox) Farset

NETV
Luella I just watched you on NETV. The show was about cemeteries in Nebraska. It was good to see you as I have never met you before but have visited via emails about Blue Valley Cemetery in Adams county. We enjoyed the article. Thanks for all you do.

RE: Tilman Edwards
The new photo you added is clearer. Thank you! I do have some interesting information about Tilman Edwards. If you have a good email you'd like me to send it to, I'd be glad to help out!

Tilman Edwards
I've been trying to figure out what Tilman Edwards' grave marker says but I'm having trouble reading it because of the light. Do you live close to the cemetery? Or do you have a transcription of it? (I really appreciate this memorial - it has helped me connect my husband with his gg-grandfather's life story!) Best regards, Holly Anderle

John H. Rausch
Dear Luella,

I am researching my paternal grandfather's WWI army unit, Company B, 355th Infantry, 89th Division. According to the History and Roster of the 355th Infantry, John H. Rausch was a member of this unit. My grandfather's name was Gunder Anderson.

I'm not exactly sure where I'm going with my project, but I want to eventually publish something. So, with your permission, I would like to use your photograph of the grave of John H. Rausch (Find A Grave Memorial# 55003977). Please let me know if this would be acceptable.

Thank you, I appreciate your time.

With warm regards,

Bryan Anderson

RE: James Brozik
Thanks Luella. I'll do that. I'm just starting to dig into this branch so have been doing a lot of data entry. We'll see what/if I stumble across anything else. I appreciate all your help. Deb
