Bio

I was born in North Apollo, PA and at the age of 3 mos. my parents took their family to Vandergrift, PA where I lived for 19 years, graduating from VHS in 1953. After two tours of duty in the U S Navy, one in Norfolk, VA the other in Long Beach CA. After being discharged in California, my wife and I remained in Long Beach. All my growing up years I had heard all about my mother's family and had birth and marriage dates for all of her brothers and sisters. I had nothing on my father's side of the family. I knew that his father was called Shan, and that he was a nice man. My father's mother on the other, as I was told, was not a nice person.(two daughters-in-laws' versions). I only saw her two times in my life, once when I was five and again when I was nine when she was being buried. My father's family intrigued me. I wanted to know more about the Bowsers. My wife and I started to do our genealogy study around 1968 and have been doing it ever since. I am interested in names such as Bowser, Buser, Busser, Bouser and Bousser, Bauser, Bausser, Tomlinson and Burnet and Edwards. My counties are: western PA, Switzerland and England.
