Bio Photo In accepting management through sponsorship of the 58,986 memorials created by my friend, Marjorie, I intend to honor her memory. A loving, dedicated person, she made significant contributions to Find A Grave through all the records she and her husband collected over the years. She is remembered well by all of her Find A Grave family.

Please know that I am only transferring memorials per Find A Grave guidelines:
"Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren."

It also states: "Please remember that there are thousands of contributors to Find A Grave, and it is highly likely that some of those contributors will actually be part of your family tree and share some of your ancestors.
Also, the goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. The ultimate goal is to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it."

Please use the "EDIT" tab on any memorial page for edits and corrections.

I was so grateful when a kind person photographed my infant sister's gravestone! Find A Grave is all about helping others and honoring those who have gone before us.

Grant County and Otter Tail County, Minnesota memorials are my main focus.

God bless you all.

Thanks for changing burial location on James Teeple and removing the photo request to save someone else from running into the same problem. Also while I was at First Lutheran South Cemetery I took a photo of an interesting marker. I will private email picture to you to see what you think. Thanks again for your help and putting up with my questions and corrections. Regards, Vern B

She's buried at Old Cemetery of Huntington, Huntington, Fairfield County, Connecticut.

Her husband Daniel and son Edgar & his family are all buried with her there.

You're welcome for the picture. I'm glad to have found a place for it.

Vern was able to take photos of this grave marker for me to help clear up a discrepancy with the record on Find A Grave, which was showing that my great, great grandmother Susie G. Viets died when she was just two days old. The birth date listed for Susie on her memorial page is actually that of her -daughter-, also named Susie G. Viets, but the mother Susie G. (Capers) Viets was born July 15th 1868, not Dec. 23 1887. Please update the memorial page at your earliest convenience. Thanks!

Discrepancy I need help with
I was doing a little work on my Ancestry tree, specifically on my Great Grandmother, Susie G. Viets (maiden name), and her mother, Susie G. Capers, and I ran across a pretty major discrepancy that I need help to clear up. Susie G. Capers gave birth to Susie G. Viets on Dec. 23rd 1887, in Parker's Prairie MN., and tragically died hours later on Dec. 24th 1887. I have Susie Viets' ORIGINAL marriage certificate from 1912, listing her mother as Susie Capers, her age as 24, and her birthplace as Parker's Prairie MN., so I know those facts are correct, and they all line up perfectly with the Suzie Viets record I have in my tree. My issue is that according to Find A Grave, Susie Viets was born Dec. 23 1887, and died --->Dec. 25th, 1887<---, the day after her mother died giving birth to her. If there is indeed a grave marker with Susie Viets' name on it in that cemetery, and if it's dated Dec. 25th 1887, then I've got a pretty big mystery to try and solve, as the woman who married my great grandfather couldn't be the Susie Viets she claimed to be on her marriage certificate. Could you or anyone in that immediate area who has access to the cemetery or the records, please follow up on this for me? A picture of the headstone, if it exists, would be very much appreciated, along with any information.
