|I was born in New York City, and grew up in New Jersey. Retired to Florida.|
I have been searching for my past relatives for 10 years now. Why?.........Because all the older relatives were gone when I was born and when I asked where they came from I was told Germany....I wanted to know more and still do.

Trudell, I noticed you have a lot of Grimshaws entered into find a grave. I recently photographed a marker in the Woodland Cemetery on Staten Island and created memorials for them. After research I think I have them correctly identified. One is Susan Grimshaw who was first married to Nathaniel Effingham, then after his death Thomas Champion. I believe she may be the daughter of George Grimshaw that you have entered in Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn. Please take a look and let me know, I will link them if you think it's correct. Susan Effingham Grimshaw Champion #176823968. Thanks, Earl

Hi I just did your photo request for Mount Hope Cememtery. I also added photos for all the Grays that were buried in the same plot. Your bio hit home for me. By the time I was born my father was 56 and all the other reletives had died. He died when I was 13 and all I knew about my family was that we were from Germany too. Sarah
