Bio Photo My name is Carol and I reside in N.E. Atlanta.

My Dad began this amazing journey in finding our heritage. While on this journey we had discovered so many relatives and friends.

Peternal Lineage ...

Hape ~ Rogers ~ Puderbach ~ Putnam ~ Gibbs ~ Hall ~ Naill ~ Ecker ~ Engel ~ Reifsnider ~ King ~ Robbins ~ Thompson ...

Maternal Lineage ...

Hunt ~ Edwards ~ Harris ~ Brown ~ Clay ~ Simmons ~ Wingate ~ Maddox/Maddux ~ Knott ~ LeSueur ~ Stinson ~ Hopper ~ Bryant ~ Harper ~ Wyatt ~ Tyler ~ Strother ~ Shy/Shi ~ Chastain ~ Hancock ~ Batte ~ Birchett/Burchett ~ Judkins ~ Polk ~ McLarty ~ Eidson ~ Daniell ...

Most of these memorials are based on personal research from my family history (birth, death, marriage, military & other records). Other information was taken from grave markers or obituaries that I've discovered over the years. Cannot guarantee the accuracy of all these memorials, but believe most of them to be correct.

Will be glad to make memorial transfers upon request that is if related. Would very much like to hear from you and should you have any additional information and if there are any corrections to be made, please let me know.

Alexander Stinson Sr and Jr.
Alexander Stinson Sr - 59805310
Alexander Stinson Jr - 59805439

Good evening,

Might you still have listed the places where you found the data on the Stinsons?

We know we have Stinsons in our family, and we know we have DNA connections to people that have Alexander Stinson Sr and Jr. in their trees, but we do not have enough to know if we are connected to the Alexander Stinsons ourselves.

We have DNA connections to various people
that have Stinsons in their trees but we do not know if these different Stinson families are even related.

Thank you for any information,

Nan Lieberman

Thanks in advance for your help. Roberta Feild Bailey

RE: Huckaby/Westbrook ... photos
Hi! I'm the great niece of Cora Westbrook, who married James 'Cicero' Huckaby. They were married 2 years before he died in the flu epidemic 1920. I'm sure she was heart broken as I look through the wonderful pictures in her photo album of their short time together. In 1919 there was a Huckaby Family Reunion in GA that Cora, and her sisters, Florence and Eunice attended. Eunice is my grandmother and Florence was the photographer of the family. They made an album of the pictures with some pictures labeled. I have tried to post the labeled ones on Find a Grave and Ancestry. I was contacted by a man who was wondering which brother was which in the 3 brother portrait. I recognize Cicero but not the other 2. We still don't know and I promised to contact him if ever anyone wrote to me and knew. Do you know the picture I'm talking about and which brother is which? This man is a descendant of one of the 2 younger sisters. I'll find his contact information. I appreciate your help. Gail

Re: John Jones #47714209
Sarah Batte is my 6th great grandmother. After the death of John Jones, she married Benjamin Baird, my ancestor.
I have several sources that the father of John Jones is James Jones. However,

the following source has the parents of John Jones as Cpt Peter Jones II and Mary Batte:

Could you possibly help clear up this inconsistency? Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon.

Asa Amos Goodwin, Jr #44677099
Hi Georgia Girl,

I was doing some digging online for my family history, and ran across some of the entries that you've made. I had a question about one of the many Asa Amos Goodwin's. He's my gggreat uncle on my mother's side. You have him listed as "Jr.", but I believe he is a "III". Both his grandfather and his father were Asa Amos Goodwin. goodwinfamilyhistory.org has him as a "III".

I know that he had two wives that were sisters. I found a note on rootsweb that he married Mary Elizabeth Spradley (#44677220) after the death of his first wife, Georgianna M. Ann Spradley (#44677392). You have them in reverse order from this.

Do you know the source of the marriage order? I'm trying to determine which is correct. I found the following thread that had some information, but I can't verify it.

http://newsfeed.rootsweb.com/th/read/ALLOWNDE/2002-06/1023632760

What do you think? Should the information be updated based on this thread, or do you have solid information regarding the marriage order?

Thank you,
David Haff

Anderson Hunt
Hello! I see you have done quite a bit of research on the Hunt family of VA. I hope you might be able to help me with something. I am descended from Anderson Hunt (#46928112), who was the father of Samuel Hunt who married Mary Anderson. They lived in Mercer Co., VA (now WV) for quite some time, and Anderson eventually moved to Iowa.

I have at least 5 Ancestry DNA matches for James Hunt (#71198652) and Sarah Whitlock (#71198690). I'm sure 5 matches is much more than a coincidence. Anderson was born about 1785 and died April 10, 1865. Based on the timeline, I'm guessing that James and Sarah were probably his grandparents.

Do you know of any of the children of James and Sarah having a child named Anderson? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much.

Hi Carol;

noticed you added a picture of JM Couper's soldier's pension application. Where did that come from? Is that in your possession?

John Pleasants, III #82714696
From the research I have done I do not think the information on John Pleasants, III is correct. I found on this website: http://ead.lib.virginia.edu/vivaxtf/view?docId=lva/vi01251.xml
that John Pleasants, III was born in 1697/98, so that would make him Alice's brother, not her father. John, III and Alice's father would be John Pleasants, II 1671-1714 and HE is the one married to Dorothy (Carey) daughter of Thomas and Ann (Milner) Carey. Jordan is the maiden name of John Pleasants, III's (1697/98-1771) first wife Margaret, daughter of Robert and Mary (Belson)Jordan. That also means that John Pleasants II (1671-1714) is the son of John Pleasants, I (1644/45-1698) and HE married Jane (Larcome, Tucker). They had John Pleasants, II, Joseph and Elizabeth (Cocke, m. James Cocke), so that means Elizabeth (Cocke) is Alice's Aunt not sister and John, II and Joseph are her Uncles. This also means that the children listed on John Pleasants, III's memorial are not correct, because Robert Pleasants (1723-1810) was a second son of John, III and Margaret (Jordan) and Samuel Pleasants was also a son of John, III and Margaret and they are not listed. I was unable to find more siblings for John and Alice, but that doesn't mean there aren't any. I'm researching these folks for my cousin's father's line and her tree led me to Alice (Pleasants) Proffit (aka Prophet)#139366574. I hope you see this public message as I would like to get these memorials corrected so that I can add them to my cousins family history. If you would like to see more information on the Pleasants, just Google Curles "Neck" Plantation in Henrico County, Virginia. Or if you prefer you can transfer the memorial to me. Thanks, Janet
