|I'm a preservationist and historian descended from many generations in Texas.|
I was so happy to find some "lost" ancestors through Find A Grave. I joined the Find A Grave community as a volunteer, to help other people find where their ancestors and loved ones are buried, and to see photographs of markers in cemeteries they will never be able to visit personally. So many wonderful, dedicated people have volunteered time and money to make this website a success. I am disappointed it is now owned by a for-profit company, using the time and efforts of numerous volunteers.
Please give credit to the volunteers who have created memorials, and ask permission to use photographs. I will be happy to add information to memorials, with proper documentation, and to transfer memorials, following the guidelines of Find A Grave.
Regrettably, due to recent hateful messages, I have changed my contributor name to an anonymous pseudonym. As a serious researcher, I thank all of you who are kind, generous, and working relentlessly to make Find A Grave an incredible resource.

I recently received notice that I had a duplicate memorial here for this soldier. Your memorial was posted first, so I am going to remove mine. Have already posted the photo of his grave marker to your memorial. It is possible that with the conflicting information or a slight misspelling of his name, may be the reason for my duplicate. I will leave my memorial up for a couple days so you can see if there is any other information that may help you. He is resting in Grave 1 Row 1 Lot 159 of the Confederate section of Old City Cemetery here in town. Please let me know when you are finished and I will remove my duplicate memorial.
I am the great great grandaughter of Jacob Rumble # 102149126and was wondering if you could transfer this memorial to me. You do a wonderful job and I certainly appreciate it.

I found a number of Thomases close together so I added them. I got a little confused during photo editing, so if you checked the photo request fulfillment too soon you might have found the wrong photo or no photo but I have fixed the error. As long as I sort the photos in time/date order I'm good. Let me know if you have questions.
All the best

did James die in 1920 or 1930?
you have his date of death 1920,
then a note for his burial as 1930.
Thanks for your help!
