Hi Find-a-grave friends, you may notice that many of the memorials I created were transferred to Kathy G. with both her and find-a-grave administrator permission. |
PLEASE USE EDIT BUTTON FOR ANY CORRECTIONS.
Thanks to those find-a-gravers who posted memorials and pictures of my own family's headstones in Columbus. Linda
Kindly remember: " the goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it
If you wish to download one of my headstone pictures, you may do so for personal usage and should give proper credit.

|Joni Eastley||Harry Schmittberger, Jr.|
Linda, I found Harry's adopted son, Harry Schmittberger, Jr. He is buried across the street in Calvary Cemetery and his Find A Grave number is 174621892. He's in an unmarked grave but I'm ordering a stone for him tomorrow.

Helen Bernice Johnson
BIRTH 18 JUN 1903 • Ohio, United States
DEATH 28 NOV 1986 • Huron, Ohio, USA
You have her down as Helen Bernice Bargdill but I have seen a copy of her death certificate and her parents were Zello Johnson and Nettie Darby.
I'm her 5th cousin 3x removed.
Thank you. He is the brother of my 3x great grandfather, George. No record on the other 6 siblings' places of burial.

Thank you so much for posting a picture of Herley Westfall's headstone! I really appreciate it!
|mop||Roland H. Rider|
Just noticed the top headstone doesn't apply to the deceased. Must be related. I attended high school with Roland in Melbourne, FL. Sad he passed away so young....

First I would like to thank you for all you have done to make researching the family easier.
I have a problem which I do not know how to solve. My great great grandfather Hiram Whitney #40684069, was married twice. His first wife is noted on his findagrave page, but his 2nd wife and the mother of most of his children is not noted. She remarried after Hiram was killed and although I have all of her dates and info. have not been able to find her grave to connect with Hiram. I would surely like to give her credit for 8 kids.
Anything you can do to help would be greatly appreciated.

For you grave designation you have PH M13 G17. This should have been entered as Section: H. Row: 13. Grave: 17. I supposethat you meant the P to stand for Plot, the M for Row, and the G for Grave?
|William Stark||Ohio Veterans Home|
Could you please include a complete burial designation for Ohio Veteran Home burials? For instance, today, I had planned to photograph those men whole names end in the letter "A." However all that I have found are Plot numbers. I need a Section, Row, and Grave number for each. Now I must take time to look all of that information up before I can travel to the cemetery (50 miles one way), to take the photos. In the future please include a complete burial designation to include Section, Row, and Grave for each of your memorials.
|SmithPM||Mildred Alice Haines (#40721311)|
You added an image of a short obituary to her entry which begins:
Mildred, 99, Oberlin Survived by step-daughter Shirley Howard ....
Mildred is a (rather distant) cousin, and to add a bit to her record, I was wondering if you were at all familiar with her step-daughter Shirley Joyce Haines?
Some searching in Ancestry and FamilySearch appeared to show that her husband was/is James William Howard (they were at least living at the same place in 1992-3), but there is an Ohio divorce record from 1973 for a James W and Shirley J Howard which seems to fit but is most likely a red herring?
