Bio Photo Hi My name is Sharon and I live in Lamoille County Vermont. I started working on my family history a couple of years ago and I'm hooked. I love to visit cemetaries, there is so much history there and you never know what you'll find.

Sharon, Thankyou so much for getting back to my request. I know exactly what you go through as I myself take on too many requests and many times get lost in what I have found and what I have sent to the person requesting the information.
I did find my Page's however, all buried in Mountain View Cemetery in Waterville. It seems we are related in a far far way, but related we are.
Isn't this fun?
My line, beginning with my great grandmother is Laura Eliza (Page) Cressey Find A Grave #157927692. And going to her parents and working back thru the generations John Hale Page #158369173 & Laura Sherman, John Page #157927432 & Bathsheba Livemore, and Amos Page 1727-1798 & Abiah Flanders=burial unknown. Thankyou again; it's always nice to find a cousin; no matter how remote. Andie Sindt

Laura Eliza Page #157927692 was my great grandfather's first wife, and daughter of John Hale Page & Laura Sherman. They had one son Herman. Laura died young in 1853 and husband Orange Cressey married again. In Orange's civil war file Orange talks about how he had a special love for Laura, his first wife. Are you related to this PAGE line? A Sindt #46820437

I am directly related to Orange John Cressey and his 2nd wife so not directly related to the PAGE family(his 1st wife) but I do have the complete Page genealogy as it connects to Orange. In looking I'm afraid I told you wrong as John Hale Page was born 5 Nov 1807 in Cambridge and died 13 Apr 1888 in Cambridge. John's wife Laura Larkin Sherman was born 4 Jun 1811 in Fairfield,Franklin Co, and died 20 Feb 1842 in Cambridge. John & Laura Page had children:
Laura Eliza 1831-d 1853 Waterville,VT
Sherman (a judge)d 1918 Los Angeles,CA
Caroline "Sarah" d 1872 Wisconsin
Henrietta d 1907 Illinois
Merritt Bates (Rev) d 1870 Iowa
So possibly Laura (Page) Cressey and her parents are buried in Cambridge (??)..I have more detailed dates and information if you are interested. Thankyou so much for your help. Contact me directly via e-mail dakotagram4u at Andie

Hi Sharon, The death record of Laura Eliza CRESSEY d 13 Dec 1853,age 23, Waterville,is online at family search and has "cemetery record" written across the front; however I cannot find in which cemetery Laura is buried. She was the daughter of John Hale PAGE & Laura Larkin Sherman who also lived and died in Waterville. Laura and Orange John Cressey had one son Herbert W Cressey born 22 Jun 1853. After Laura's death Orange moved to NY and remarried. Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated..Andie in South Dakota --dakotagram4u@yahoo dot com.

Thanks ! I appreciate that! Also I just realized I need your photo from Find A Grave Memorial #41433882 too. Am assuming that is OK as well. Let me know if not.

Thanks again! :)

Hello! I was wondering if you would allow me to attach (with appropriate credit given) your headstone photo from this memorial to my tree on Ancestry?

Thanks for considering my request. :)

Thanks for your efforts on trying to find Sarah's grave site. My guess would be that the stone was destroyed and never replaced. I'll research another source to confirm her burial there with her husband and son. Thanks so much, I know how much work it is to walk a cemetery looking for a grave.

Lynds Chaffee
Thank you for ALL the Chaffee Pictures you've taken at Mountainview. The one for Lynds is very small and unreadable - I was wondering if you had a better (closer?) picture of the stone.

THanks so much!!
