I grew up in a small family with just my parents and a younger brother. I always enjoyed riding horseback and hiking in the mountains with my family. I was fortunate to have both sets of grandparents who taught me a love of family history. After graduation from high school, I took Cosmetology and worked in that profession until I married. I raised two sons. As a girl, I always wished I could have lived in the Victorian and Edwardian times, as grandmother Place did. Her wedding picture was taken in Mexico in 1905. She was riding sidesaddle. She taught me to ride aside in 1967. I am a Living Historian/Re-enactor of the 1860-1890's era. My hobbies are making my period clothing and accessories. I have also ridden on many General Crook trail rides in Arizona, sidesaddle, of course. My time has been taken up lately helping my mother, Nancy E. Brown, with photographing and indexing the cemeteries in our county. I am also a genealogist and researcher. I love to research the people that I put on F/G, in hopes that their lives will not be forgotten and will not be just a number. If any of my information is incorrect or incomplete let me know. I will be more than happy to make the changes. Or, if you want to do your own bio on a family member, please let me know.|
If you would like a transfer, I DO NOT do demands! I will consider nice requests.
PLEASE NOT PUT death certificates, newspaper articles or copied material on the photo memorials! If you have researched information to add let me know. Thank you.

The post master at a Glenwood said there were lots of graves at a Glenwood Cemetery. My grandfathers grave was on ranch land outside of Glenwood , needing to confirm location maybe even a mile marker so I can go and take care of it , before my dad passed in 1982 this was one of his request . We were there last week coming through on way home , we looked for this ranch land for four hours. We were referred to mulecreek ranch which only had Reid family and babies in small cemetery on a very high hill ,we looked for a moon ranch but could not find grave .In 1976 I remember there were several babies buried there with a few adults in the small cemetery on a Ranch south of Glenwood on 180 south toward Silver City. I have several photos of the grave with my dad would like to submit them to find a grave on his page would that be possible ? Would be willing to pay for any inconvenience or fuel , time to find it or a mile marker my grandson has told me he will take me back , but it will have to be in fall when it cools off .
Thankyou, Jean Beck Payne

Arlena , looking for someone to search for my Grandfathers grave , if possible, been there once with my dad , also looked recently could not find it . It is on someone 's ranch land along with a few other graves between Glenwood,NM. And Silver City, NM. I am pretty sure closer to Glenwood I have been there twice in about 20 years so disappointed could not find his grave I talked to several ranchers with no luck , is it possible that the graves could have been moved to the main Glenwood, NM cemetery? I would be willing to pay for expenses, I am so frustrated! Please and Thankyou.

Find A Grave Memorial# 61932076
I am researching my paternal grandfather's army unit, Company B, 355th Infantry, 89th Division. According to documentation, he was in the same unit as my grandfather at least at one point.
I'm not sure where I'm going with my research, but I want to eventually publish something. It may be a book, an article, or something else. Should I publish something, may I have permission to use your photograph of Robert Henry Welty's gravestone? I'm not even sure I'll use the photograph, but I want to be prepared.
With warm regards,

Arlena, I cannot thank you enough for adding my aunt Connie Rakestraw and my great grandfather Donald Rakestraw WWll to find a grave. She was hit and killed by a drunk driver at a young age. Is there anyway I can get with my family and write some kind of obituary or something about her and add pictures or have this transferred to me or a member of my family. Also, is there an address for the cemetery she is buried in? It breaks my heart to see her headstone and I want to give her something better that she deserves. Again thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for posting this. She died 3 years before I was born so unfortunately I never got to meet her. You have no idea how much this means to our family. God Bless you!
