Lucious Dills
On the notes it shows Lucious born after his mother and fathers death. I think Lucious must have been Bartlett Jr's son.

RE: Which Cemetery
Thank you so much Betty. I can see that it is really confusing. I'll go with the memorials in the Edwards Cem.

Which Cemetery
Hi Betty,
I'm wondering where Joshua Potts Edwards and his wife Elizabeth/Betsy Elizabeth Murray are married.
One source told me that they were buried in Edwards Cemetery and another said they were buried in Crisp Cemetery. I thought I could figure out where they were actually buried by making memorials for each of them in both cemeteries, requesting photos, then seeing which cemetery had a grave marker. That strategy didn't work.

I noticed that you posted a picture of what looks like the same shared grave marker in both cemeteries.

Having duplicate memorials for the couple is messing up another researcher who wants to link the couple's kids to them, so I'd like to delete one set of memorials. I just don't know which ones to delete. I'd like to keep the memorials in the correct cemetery.

Is there anyway you could figure out where the grave marker actually is and let me know?

RE: Belle Waldroup
Betty all the sons buried in the wiggins cem are now linked to her.

She has one more son with Wayne Waldroup(before they married) that was on the 1940 Census with her named Richard Anderson born abt 1934 in NC. I have not been able to find any more on him.

Also on the NC Birth index I found Willard Waldroup Born February 9, 1941 in Graham County (born after they were married). I can't find any more on him either.

I photographed the entire cemetery last August and I didn't find them.

Thank you so much, Betty, for the photo of Locke Edwards' marker. I enlarged it as much as possible, but much of it was still illegible to me. This is what I thought I saw:
DR? Locke J? Edwards
Jul 17 1912 - May 21? 1946
[another line in smalled print is completely unreadable in the pic]

If your eyes are any better than mine, or if you have more info based on the cemetery records, I'd be glad of the help.

Also, did you happen to look in the Edwards Cem. for the markers for Locke Edwards' grandparents, Joshua Potts and Elizabeth Murray Edwards?

Do you know how/if Golman Edwards is related to Joseph M Edwards.

Are you related to any of these Edwardses?

Sorry for the interrogation and THANK YOU again for finding Locke's marker.

RE: Evie Johnson
Evie never had kids. Her obituary is listed on the findagrave website that you posted the picture to. She was my step Great Grandmother and I didn't know anything about her until the last few years. I wish I had known about her in the 90's as I would have made an effort to get to know her. Stan

RE: Evie Johnson
Evie's maiden name was Holmes and I think she may have been originally from Oglethorpe County - Georgia. She was married to my Great Grandfather Robert Ellis Johnson- also from Oglethorpe County. It is a mystery to our family as to how they ended up in the Robbinsville, NC area. Robert died in 1946 and is buried at the Old Mother Church in Robbinsville. After Robert died, Evie moved in with John Lequire-- they never married as far as I know. I do know that my Great Grandfather was about 30 years older than Evie! Do you know anyone that may have pictures of her? I've talked with Darlene Crisp about her, but I haven't heard back from her recently. I would like to find out more about her if possible. Thanks for getting back to me. I look forward to hearing from you again. By the way I live in Athens, Georgia and will be making a trip back to Robbinsville in the coming weeks! I was there on September 19th and found Evie's grave.
