RE: Thanks again
You're welcome. Glad to be able to help. I don't know if you noticed but I placed an updated photo for her as her husband as well. When his photo was taken, their stone was knocked over. Since that time it has been fixed by someone. Her part of the stone was in the ground.

Sodalake, I would like to thank you for your effort in providing me a picture of the grave of one of my ancestors, John Carnifix, who died of disease while enlisted in the Union Army and was buried in Tenn. It has taken me a long time to get this thanks to you as every other time I tried there was a problem in the computer system that I was not knowledgeable enough to overcome, for some reason it wants to work today. Thank you again. Bill Baumbauer

Martha Teague
Hello! We are related by Elizabeth & Jacob Thomas (my 4x great grandparents). I was in the Peoria Cemetery today looking to verify Elizabeth & Jacob Thomas when I saw your request - then it started pouring rain. I will give this another shot in the next couple of weeks (I live about 40 min away). I am assuming that Martha will be somewhere near Elizabeth & Jacob and now that I know what Allen's stone looks like, it will help me out. However, I will warn you that this cemetery has a lot of flat cement markers with just numbers on them, but I'll give it another try. Let's hope!

Thank you so much for the picture. This helps me with my family search and I always believe that our military should be honored.

RE: Whitfield
How very nice of you!! I was the one in my family to find him though I wish I could have done it while my father was alive. Great Great Grandpa Whitfield left three little boys and my father lost his Dad to pneumonia when he was 5. This left three little boys! So one of GG Grandpa's sons came to Texas on a cattle boat at age 13. He was like a father to Daddy and his two brothers though he had 7 children of his own.

Grandpa William Whitfield was killed in Georgia in 1864. I almost had to fight the War again. --or guess I sorta did!

Are you sure this is not too much trouble? Please let me know and I'll email you my address. A big heartfelt thank you.

Proud to be his GG granddaughter, Nancy

THANK YOU!!! This really does mean so much to me and my family. I searched for him for so long and the photo is really the icing in the cake. A real blessing to me. You are so very much appreciated. I grew up on the place his son bought here in TX and its hallowed ground for me. Kindest Regards, Nancy
