Avid genealogist. I work on several trees for my friends as well as my own. I am always happy to help if I can. Please feel free to use any of my photos for your own genealogy. If I have inadvertently made an error in my transcriptions, please let me know so I can correct it. I don't always like to "assume" family links but if you are a family member and would like me to link up family members, I am happy to do so. Please just let me know. I am also willing to transfer memorials to family members or close friends. I do work full time and usually take care of requests over the weekends, so please do not think I am ignoring anyone if it takes me a few days to honor your requests. I will answer all.

RE: Heltons
You are so welcome. Sorry no headstones were there but records show no headstones were ever placed. But at least you have the location now. Have a great night.

Ruth McFarland
Hi Lisa, you added a photo for Ruth McFarland @ Mt Olivet in Colorado. There is a photo with the headstone of three women. I thought it was actually part of the headstone. I actually went there to get a better copy of the photo, but it must have been cropped into the photo or something. I was wondering if you have a copy of the photo. I've tried to enlarge it, but it's too blurry. I believe one of the women in the photo is my children's great grandmother, and it's probably the only photo we'll find of her.
If you do have it, can you email it to me @
Thanks for your time,

Grunze Family Research
Hi Lisa, I have been researching my family since about 1984. My mother's maiden name was Bernice Emily Grunze so I have done a lot of research on the Grunze family. I retired at the end of July this year and have decided to get "back" to doing more family research. I just joined Ancestry.Com several days ago and have already found many new Grunze records. My great grandfather was August Louis Grunze who was a brother of Karl Frederick Grunze. I first came across the name "Charles Grunze" listed as a witness on the marriage record for August in 1883. In 1905 he was apparently residing in Colorado City Colorado. Since then I now know that he was born between 1854 and 1860 and was married to Bertha Reuss. They, as you already know, had a son Julian Howard Grunze who I believe was your grandfather. I just found a marriage record today on Ancestry for Bertha Reuss which has me very confused and I am hoping that you can clear this up for me. According to my (your) records Karl married Bertha REUSS and had their son Julian in 1890. Karl died in 1937 and Bertha in 1941. The marriage record I just found was created in Jackson County, Missouri on Dec 18, 1913. It states that the groom was Frederick Reuss, age 67 and the bride was Bertha GRUNZE, age 47. They both are listed as residents of Colorado City, Colorado. IF she is listed as a Grunze then she must have already married Karl Grunze and did not become a Reuss until 1913. Do you know if she and Karl were divorced and if so, what was her original, maiden name when she married Karl? I thank you in advance for any help you may be able to give me and I would be very happy to share any family information that I have with you.

RE: William Wemp
My pleasure - just sorry that there wasn't a marker - but always nice to see where they are buried.

Thank you for your kind words.

Continue to take care.
