Can you remove Samson Vandergrift as the father of John Kaiser Vandergrift?
I just found John M Vandergrift death certificate showing the correct John M Vandergrift for Sampson and his mom Rebecca Huggins.

Abel Stevens
Jack...The DAR will no longer approve applications for Abel Stevens. The DAR certificate specifies that the Patriot have "unfailing the cause of American Independence during the Revolutionary War". Having been a United Empire Loyalist disqualifies him from being termed a Patriot with unfailing loyalty. I know this because I tried several years ago to claim Abel as one of my DAR Patriots. I was turned down.

I descend from Abel Sr to Abel Jr to Stephen K. Stevens to Abel Stevens "the blacksmith" of Athens, through him to my grandfather, Gordon Warren Stevens.

You might want to remove the DAR insignia and reference to Abel qualifying for DAR from your find-a-grave page. He did qualify at one time, until they learned of his loyalist leanings..but that is no longer the case.

I am not sure that this Gustave Maas is married to 20051503 Pauline Maas of Lodi.

BIRTH: 8 Jan 1892 - San Francisco, California
DEATH: 1 May 1973 - Daly City, San Mateo, California, United States

Whereas according to U.S. Social Security Death Index:
NAME: Gustave Maas
BIRTH: 10 Aug 1895
DEATH: Apr 1972 - Lodi, San Joaquin, California, USA
CIVIL: California

California Death Index:
NAME: Gustave Maas
BIRTH: 10 Aug 1895
DEATH: 7 Apr 1972 - San Joaquin

Lodi News Sentinel Apr 8, 1972
Gustave Maas married former Paulina Newuharth in 1923. Father of Delvin G. Maas.

I found your memorial for her #90311777 in Pleasant Ridge Cem. Armour, SD. She was my great, great aunt. I requested a photo of her headstone and the photographer said they have no record of her in that cemetery. You placed a wonderful photo of her on the memorial. Do you have any personal knowledge of her burial or is it from an older record book that the cemetery may not have? Her father was my great, great grandfather. Thank you for all the work you have done for Fond A Grave! Helen

Pvt William Braithwaite
Hi: I went to the Greenfield Cemetery here in Spotsylvania County to take photos this morning and came across Pvt William Braithwaite's grave marker there. I photographed it along with the others there. There wasn't already a memorial for him in Greenfield, so I made one for him (#146700090). When I went to research bio info for him on the net, I found another memorial site for him in Frederick County, VA with a photo of an identical grave marker for him taken by you.

I'm wondering why there are two burial places for him, and how he ended up with a grave marker in Greenfield. Further investigation on my part may reveal his relationship to the Rowe and Estes family who occupy the cemetery otherwise. Do you know anything that might shed light on this mystery?

Oscar Schoyen
I am entering pages for a Helen Schoyen and Phyllis Alice Schoyen in Hillside Cementer Minneapolis. I believe Helen is the wife of Oscar and I'm not sure about Alice. Lists father as Oscar but mother as Eleanor. Can you confirm these folks are all related?
