Hi, I live in central Florida and have enjoyed genealogy for many years. I am a member of and have discovered to be a powerful tool in buiding an accurate family tree. I've always enjoyed walking in cemeteries and feel a deep connection to the men and women who rest there, and the untold life stories they represent. I'll be happy to do local look-ups in most of Lake County.

With fruiting branches together furled
We grow a wreath around the world
To celebrate life's code entwined
In kinship with all humankind.
by Annette B. Smith

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
(Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!)

Martha did not live in my life time and have no idea as to her personal life. She is not a direct family member of mine. I had the wrong father and I deleted that floral tribute and added another. I am pretty sure any info I had on this family has been posted by me on Find A Grave. I wish I could have been more help, but, this is all I know.

This is not my memorial and I don't know where to even look for her, perhaps Florida?

Hi Annette,

Thanks for the transfer to me. My grandmother told me stories about her. It means a lot to me that you have done that. Thanks for putting her record up there on this website. I wrote a special thanks to you along her Bio if you want to read it. It take a special person like you to keep a non-relative memory alive, much thanks to you.

D. Sheppard Simonds
Delete my previous message about linking A. Burton and Helen D. Simonds as the parents of D. Sheppard Simonds. After the funeral, D. Sheppard's remains were taken to Victor Village Cemetery, in Victor, NY. D. Shepard Simonds is buried there today.

RE: Alice McMackin
You are very welcome. I have taken a special intrest recently in photographing state hospital cemeteries. Society tried to forget these people and this is my way to make sure that never happens! Everyone deserves to be remembered & honored! My best to you & yours.
