Bio and Links
I have been doing family history for over 45 years and I do understand that elation when one finds information about their family. For over 8 years now I have tried to do my share in documenting grave sites in any cemetery that I am near. I hope that my efforts have helped some to actually see the grave site of a family member that they never knew the location of or could never hope to visit. I spend many hours doing the photography and even cleaning up the weed choked sites. Also I go the extra mile and try to find more documentation and information about the person.
It is not my intent to construct an instant family tree for anyone to claim; but, please, do not minimize or negate the time and efforts I put forth. I am always cooperative in making corrections or adding information to a site but prefer not to make transfers except under certain circumstances as it is my experience the requester does nothing to enhance the site but merely wants to collect.
Please be patient if I do not make an edit immediately. It will happen but I am not at the computer 24-7.

RE: Ruby
No. Mima's son James Ruby, 1860 Census, b. 1846, married Kate J. Cox, born IA, 1858-59 . Neither are on Find A Grave. Cox family migrated to Territory of NE in 1860 (Seward county)

I'm working on the Cox family. Thought I'd link whatever I could find on the Ruby family.

I do know that James and Kate Ruby lived in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, MN, are in the 1920, 1930 (ages 85, 70) census.

If you're interested in searching on Seward County newspapers, which is where I found their names, go to Under Read are the Digital Archives of Seward County Newspapers dating back to 1870.

Hi, Kay; yes there is a marriage record.

Michigan Marriage Records, 1902 Calhoun-Kalkaska.

26 Apr 1902, Iron Mountain.

Groom: Fred J Rodee (35), res. Milwaukee; b. New York; father Albert Rodee; mother Kate Bullis.

Bride: Nora Ceilia Murphy (27), res. Iron Mountain; b. Wisconsin; father James Murphy; mother Eliza Shea.

James Murphy was one of the witnesses.

There is also a 4 Oct 1958 obituary in the Arizona Republic (Phoenix) that says she was 85 at time of death in October 1958.

On her 1930 US census, she gave the age at first marriage of 20.

All the best and thanks!

Hi, Kay; thanks very much! Yes, I saw Nona Rodee's Arizona Death Certificate; and if we go by that, there is still a correction needed for the birth year which was given 1873 on the record rather than 1879 as shown on the memorial.

I have her obituary from the Sheboygan newspaper, which shows her a native of Mitchell, Sheboygan, Wisconsin and her parents as "James and Elizabeth Shea Murray Murphy." That's not confusing at all is it, haha. The census records from 1870 for her parents show Murphy and 1880 for her with her mother show Murphy. On the James Jr marriage record, they are all shown as Murphy.

Also the obituary shows she was 85 when she died which would agree with the 1873 on the birth record. I can send you the obituary image in email if you like. All the best!

George Martin Sr.
Hi Kay,

Thank you for changing George Martin's bio to correct the name of his father.

I too had seen the bio that erroneously gives his father's name as Andrew Pierce Martin, a landowner in Loughrea, Co. Galway.

Having spent a considerable amount of time researching the Martins of Loughrea, I knew at once that Andrew Pierce Martin could only be Andrew Persse Martin, Esq. of Eagle Hill in Loughrea, who married the sister of my 4x great grandmother, Charlotte Burke.

Stumbling upon a history of George Martin's family and drugstore chain in Tucson, Arizona, I was thrilled to find another branch on my Irish grandmother's tree. As you may be aware, Irish records are sketchy in places, and trying to trace Irish family and ancestors can be challenging, if not impossible.

For that reason, I request that you please connect George's memorial to the one I created for Andrew John Martin. I do not know where Andrew John Martin is buried, but I do know for certain that Andrew Persse Martin is buried in the famous Glasnevin Cemetery in Dublin, and by connecting George to Andrew John Martin, you'd also be connecting him to Andrew Persse Martin.

I also make this request in the hopes that it may enable me to connect with more of my Irish family, who are in diaspora.

Thank you again.

RE: Allen Hanson
Thank you!

I recently (just yesterday) discovered this was the Allen, so of Milton and Audrey through his siblings. The poor heavenly soul died due to drowning in a gravel pit down near hwy. 53 - He deserved to be linked with his parents again.

Thank you, I will deal with that right now!

John Hehenberger 145431071
Hello, I have asked for parental name to be added to John's site. While his name is listed as Hehenberger, his family went by the name of Hemberger. I just did not want you to think that the name was wrong. Thank you. Karen S.
