I am a retired programmer, interested in Genealogy, Computers and Traveling. I live in the Detroit Area and will be more than happy to visit any cemetery and take a picture of a grave of interest. Any of the pictures or other information that I have posted to findagrave.com can be used by anyone for whatever volunteer purpose they would like. You may not use the pictures if they will be used for a make for profit purpose. Other than family members any memorials will be transferred to you if requested. I would prefer transferring the memorial to you than to add or make changes to the memorial. Also please give me a little time to transfer the memorials. Thanks |

In your public comment your stated it's okay to use your photos as long as we're not using it for something to make a profit. But I would still like to publicly ask permission to use your photo for Crescent Hill Cemetery, on Facebook's check-in for the cemetery. I had grabbed it before asking permission and someone seems to have an issue with that. So would like to publicly ask if we may use it on the cemetery site on Facebook? Please, and thank you, ahead of time.

Francis Adams was the son of Richard Adams from Chester, England, not grandson of John Adams 1622-1706 and Anna Howe 1626-1714, Francis was born in Cheshire, England, and came to the Colonies in 1692.
Death circa 1691 (32-48)
New Hampshire, United States (Killed by Indians)
Francis Adams Born in England, came to the Colonies in 1692, died in Kingston. Husband of Mary Buck. Son of Richard from Chester, England.
His father, "while making a clearing in New Hampshire to settle upon, was taken prisoner by the Indians, bound hand and foot, fed upon a few parched corns daily until his sufferings were extreme, when some of the Indians drew their bows and killed him."

Just a couple of comments/suggestions:
Findagrave Memorial # 14791276
The Death Certificate you have attached to this memorial should perhaps be attached to a different Findagrave Memorial because the information on the death certificate does not coincide with that of the memorial.
The correct information based on Census, marriage, and death records:
Albert R. Henderson b 31 May 1840 d 8 Feb 1921 was the son of Rufus and Elizabeth (Hathaway) Henderson.
His wifeís name was Catherine who was b Aug 1839. Albert and Catherine had a son named James Henderson b Feb 1869 (birthdates are according to the 1880 US Census of Richmond, Macomb Co., MI)
I believe the death certificate currently attached to your Findagrave Memorial # 14791276 should instead be attached to the following Findagrave Memorial # 135754054. According to the death certificate this Albert R. Henderson was born on 13 Feb 1840 in Canada and he died 22 June 1918. This Albert Hendersonís parents were James Henderson b in England and Mary Stewart b in Ireland and his wifeís name was Adella L. __Henderson

Thank you for correcting the Marriage info on this family. It is really appreciated. Diana
|Diana Ayers||transfer Sylvester Royce|
Jack you can transfer the memorial 16133830 for Sylvester Royce to me since I am a direct relative. My # is 47847172.
|Diana Ayers||Sylvester Royce|
I think I solved the mystery. In the 1860 US census Town of Sterling, Macomb, MI shows, Sylvanus (Silvenus/Silvanus) B. Royce 44 years married to Mary 39 years with a son Clayton 14 years and Solomon Gregory 79 years. The Mary Gregory is listed as born in NY. I believe the death certificate for Clayton is in error since it lists the wrong Royce brother as the father. This isn't the first mistake on formal records.
The Mary Jones who married Sylvester was born abt. 1818 in New York and her father it looks like her father's first name was Northrup/Northrop from other sites I have shared with you.
I contacted the person who set the memorial for Mary Gregory Cady and shared this info. that he had the wrong Royce brother married to Mary Gregory. He has made a note in her memorial and hopefully this will help others.
Hope you will correct the Find a Grave memorial 16133830 for Sylvester.
|Theresa||Transfer of Deede Mason 6706906|
You recently transferred her memorial to me....I don't know why you did this, as I have never requested the transfer, nor am I related to this person.
I am transferring it back to you; if you no longer wish to manage the memorial, perhaps you could delete it? It is a duplicate.
