|I have been doing history and family research since 1960. I was co-author of the first book on the Watford Family, printed the Thompson Family information for the reunions, assisted with the Houston Heritage Book and last printed a book called "Window in Time, Dale County 1860". I am a member of the UDC and try to enter military service on those I add. Over the years I have accumulated many pictures and family stories -some which do not apply to me - I am trying to share these to help others with their research and FINDAGRAVE is a good medium for that. I strive to do this work correctly but errors occur (and old memories are not perfect). Please send any corrections, additions and suggestions.|

Hello, I am looking for a Georgia Ann Thomas or possibly Georgiann Thomas. Death certificates show death date of April 22 1923. I have found a her Daughter, Nancy Ann Childree memorial # 94131898 along with other members at the Salem Baptist Church cemetery in Dale Co.
I can't see any record of her burial. Do you have any graves with anything similar there? Thanks

Hello! I have been searching in vain for so long for some of our Thompson relatives. I noticed that you maintain records for some Thompsons from Burke County. My husband is the great great grandson of John Thompson, buried in Burke County, Georgia. The struggle is that his son and his son, and his niece were all named John Thompson. So, finding anything is almost impossible. However, I have learned that very rarely did they leave a community. If they were born there, most often, they lived and died there. Do you have any information that links John Thompson, buried at Botsford Baptist Cemetery to any of the Thompsons for whom you are maintaining records? I realize that I am grasping at straws, but with such common names, and no middle names because they don't have them, I am running out of places to search!

The memorial states that he is buried in an unmarked grave in Fairfax, VA yet you show he is buried in Alabama. Where did you get your information that he was buried in this cemetery?

Do you mind Transferring his memorial to me? My G-grandmother's(Lena Lee) brother. He was killed while helping cut a tree down. The tree fell on him and killed him. The family was devastated. Thank you so much in advance!!
|LA Neely's||Elonzo Neely Grave questions|
Regarding grave memorial 88709462: This is the grave of Elonzo Neely in Cowarts cemetary (Cowarts AL). You mention in your posting that this is the grave fora Crayton Alonzo Neely. What source of information do you have that equates CA Neely to Elonzo Neely?
One of JV Neely's children was Curtis Lamar Neely. Curtis Lamar was my husbands grandfather.
Any further information you have on this would be greatly appreciated.

Sara I have search for members of my grandfather's William Earl Lassiter. Have found no member, Mary was one of his sisters. I believe there was 3
and he was the only son and the youngest child. my mother was the only one of his children to have children. She and her twin sister were 17 months when he died. She knew nothing of her father's family, and I can not find only that his parents were Rebecca stewart and joseph lassiter and they are buried at rahan church cem. in Cottonwood, Al I visited her grave once. Doing a little research I did see that all of Mary's children are gone, and there is were I am stuck. I did go and get my grandfather's death cert. so I could find out whom his parents were. I know of no Stewarts. Where do I go from here.
thank you, Sara Moats
