Bio and Links
Bio Photo In early 2015, the Golden Gate National Cemetery Photography Project completed its 3-year-long effort. The cemetery, located in San Bruno, San Mateo County, California, is now 99.96% photographed, with less than 50 inscriptions that need to be photographed.

Since March 2015, I have been photographing the markers in the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Colma, San Mateo County, California. Only 23% of the 355,000 markers there have been photographed. Many of the burials are reinterments from the now defunct Calvary Cemetery in San Francisco. I am currently posting photographs in Section V: For Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery the San Francisco Genealogy website is invaluable:

http://www.sfgenealogy.com/php/cemetery/cemeteryindex.php?

I add new memorials as need be and add missing information and links.

Please contact me if you have taken a better photograph of a headstone for a memorial (e.g., with better lighting), and I will be happy to remove my photo.

Golden Gate National Cemetery Credits:

FAG members Samme Templin, Theresa Miller, Christine S., and Cindy S. helped post the photos.

FAG contributor Stewart Blandon completed Section 2E. Stewart also created an excel spreadsheet for the burials in the cemetery that has been vital for the project. Stewart and Kathleen Clemence added plot information to memorials.

FAG contributor Kathleen Clemence completed Section R.

FAG contributor Christine and Winmar finished photographing and posting photos from Section MA.

Notes on the Golden Gate National Cemetery:

Section A: Redo north facing markers starting with A-133.

Section E: Contains markers for 45 graves of German and Italian prisoner of war from World War II; there also about 100 graves of servicemen who died between 1865 and 1910.

I am currently interested in the Brocher, Lahey, Williamson, Weber, and Grumann families of eastern Wisconsin, particularly Manitowoc County.

I am also researching Nuzum, Wright, Wheeler families of western Wisconsin.

Finally, I am researching Welch, Belden, Dunbar familiies of southeastern Minnesota.

RE: Headstone GELY Paul & Maria
Dear Paul,
I already answered your message, but I have another question related to the information I would like to have them added on the headstones of my relatives burried in that cemetery.
Should I send the information to the contributor Atanathos ?

Or should I send them to you ?

Thank you in advance for your support

Best regards

Yves F.

You posted the wrong headstone for Frederick Henry. You posted Joseph Milton Henry.

"pretty sure this name & photo do not go together"
Hello!
If you click the photo you will see the caption stating that Edward Crowley isn't listed on the plot monument. A lot of people are buried without markers or for some reason, never get noted on the stone.
Thanks!

Good Morning Tom

Thank you for your reply.

Here some additional information :

Maria maiden name Touron, was born on Jan. 6th, 1878 in Decazeville, little town in the department of Aveyron, France,

I found other French relatives ( FIGEAC ) buried in the Holy Cross Cemetery, but not sure you were the person who took the pictures.
