Those we love don't go away ~ They walk beside us everyday ~ Unseen, unheard , But always near ~ Still loved, still missed and very dear *
"If no one grieves, no one will remember!"
"It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit." ~ Harry S Truman
Death comes once, but a cemetery is forever

The quality, not the longevity, of one's life is what is important.

"Our dead are never dead to us until we have forgotten them"
- George Eliot
Please feel free to contact me about any graves I have listed. If I have listed someone that you are related to and I am not and you would like them transferred to you, please just let me know. If we are both related then I will have to think about it. Please feel free to use any of my photo's anywhere you want.
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and the date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who cares
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you."
-Poem by Walter Butler Palmer
A LIMB HAS FALLEN
A limb has fallen from the family tree.
I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me.
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.
The good life I lived while I was strong.
Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you.
Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through.
My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest.
Remembering all, how I truly was blessed.
Continue traditions, no matter how small.
Go on with your life, don't worry about falls
I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin.
Until the day comes we're together again.

|REH||We are related :)|
My 3rd Great Grandfather is also Jonathon Boyd. You are from his daughter Lavina and I am from his son John Lewis Boyd. Thanks for doing so much.

I see all four duplicates. I must have been way out of it to do that one. Which is the original so I can fix this?
Thank you for letting me know I'm really screwing up. But four 4 times??? 3 in one day?
Sorry. I guess I need more practice...
|Michele Rickman||RE: Billy Ray Harrison|

|Phyllis Counts||RE: John Counts|
Sorry I didn't respond sooner. My apologies. Doing all this reading, researching, emailing and posting is really time-consuming.
I have two FB pages that I'd like you to look at and see what you can contribute: John Counts of Glade Hollow and the other, Nealy Ridge, Virginia.
I don't know all that 2nd cousin, 4th uncle stuff. My father was Eugene Edison Counts of Nealy Ridge, my grandfather was Arthur Stuart Counts of NR, my great grandfather is a mystery (out of wedlock) but my great grandmother was Elizabeth Counts of NR, my great great grandfather was William Lewis Counts, my ggg grandfather was Joseph Counts.
Let's talk! Hope to hear from you and learn from you.

You requested a photo for record # 151440586, but that is a duplicate of record # 99904297, which already has a photo.
|Sue Bailess||RE: sponsored|
Yes I am related. I sponsored several this morning, so I'm not sure who you were inquiring about...
Most of them were my grandparents and great grandparents.
Thank you for asking! I didn't know they had a FIND A GRAVE until just a few years ago!
|Peggy Joy||RE: Joseph Monroe Whitt|
Yes, the headstone is really different. It is the coloring of the stone that makes it hard to get a good photo......Peggy
Forgot to ask, would you like me to transfer these two memorials to you? I am not related. :)
Thanks so much for the edits. :)
