Hello Phyllis. My 3rd Great Grandfather was Michael Matthews, and George would have been my Uncle. My Grandfather was John Simeon Matthews, and my mother Virginia Matthews, grew up in Madison. Are you and I related? I'd love to talk to you and share info. Please contact me if you'd like. Barbara

Happy to be able to help!
Glad you know where Francis is because I began to wonder if he was in a local cemetery and was going to try to find him so I could link him.
If you need any info on other Spring Hill/Shippensburg burials let me know.

Thank you for the info you provided on Robert. I linked him to his parents and transferred him to you. I was able to find the Section info for you for some of the Matthew memorials. I have access to some of the Spring Hill records.
I also found a notation in a local cemetery database for a Francis E. Matthews, son of George and Clara. It has these dates:
9-19-1902 - 1-4-1978 and then it is has Spring Hill ?
The question mark means that the person recording the name in the database is guessing he is buried in Spring Hill but not sure.
I looked at Spring Hill records and he is not listed as being buried in there.
