|In September 2007, I retired after teaching mathematics for 30 years. Almost immediately I became hopelessly addicted to genealogy. I have photographed relatives' tombstones in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Tennessee, New York, Wisconsin and Missouri. I have published two books: "The Ancestry of William Floyd Myers in Jay County, Indiana," and "Salamonia Christian Church, 1842-1999." I'm currently working on a book about my Myers family genealogy. |
I was born Judith Ann Myers in Richmond, Indiana, and spent the first 35 years of my life in various parts of central Indiana. Then my family and I moved to Tennessee for 2 1/2 years, then to Tempe, Arizona, for 5 years, and finally back to Knoxville, Tennessee, where we still live.

|Kathy Andrews Wright||RE: George Lloyd Andrews attending Yale|
The one search is for officers and students, which I would think should have included George if he was there. 8 did. Little search for Dayton school records but not for long. It was Dayton, right?
|Kathy Andrews Wright||George Lloyd Andrews attending Yale|
Judy, I got this from the search request I submitted to Yale. The mystery continues as to whether he really did attend Yale--and under what name. Thoughts?
I am writing in reply to your e-mail inquiry of February 16, 2017, regarding George Lloyd Andrews.
One of my colleagues consulted the Catalogue of the Officers and Graduates of Yale University, 1701-1924 but did not find a graduate with the name George Lloyd Andrews between 1759-1851.
I consulted the Catalogue of the Officers and Students for the academic years 1823-1841/1842 but did not find a George Lloyd Andrews listed in any of the schools (undergraduate, graduate, and professional) of Yale University.
Iím sorry I could not be of more assistance. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

I wanted to let you know that I added a photo onto a memorial that you have created in Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis. There was already a photo on the memorial but the one that I posted as a little bit clearer. I do know the gentleman to took the original photo and I can ask him to remove the original if you would like or I can remove mine if you like.

Thank you for the Bio Source Information. I have included it your suggestion into George Lloyd Andrews memorial.
Thanks again Judy!

George is a great grandfather and I am trying to confirm he attended Yale. What source did you find with the information, and do you have a year he graduated? Thank you!

You're welcome! I just noticed that Find A Grave Memorial# 42204837 has two fathers, so you would need to fix that one. Take care, Pam

Thanks for the info on Linda Sommers/Byrley memorial. I posted a note on the Salamonia memorial directing to the IOOF memorial.

|Perry Streeter||re: Location of 43486216?|
The links you provided confirm that Lettice Moore married Nehemiah (not Nathaniel) Thomas. They were likely the parents of Martha Thomas who married John Streeter (see www.perrystreeter.com/streeter.pdf).
Unfortunately, the cemetery is so small and probably overgrown that I cannot detect it via Google satellite images. I will confer with others from Canisteo next.
|Perry Streeter||Location of 43486216?|
Thank you for adding a photo to 43486216!
Can you pinpoint the location of this marker, or at least this cemetery for me?
Some of his descendants will be visiting from Minnesota and I would like to enable them to pay their respects in person.
Thank you for putting up information about the Schenk family. Are you related? If you are I can fill in some of the names or information not given here.
I don't want to put my email out in the public comments and am new here is there a way to leave my email for you privately.
