Bio Photo Hello, I do my best to keep the Golden Age alive still today. I am an ex film studio worker now retired. Have been lucky to have met a lot of the stars of yesterday. I have three sites to the stars and belong to a lot of cinema preservation clubs.

RE: Thank you
ello. "Where In The World Are You?" To answer your question, I live in Maryland (USA) near a lovely little town known as Baltimore. We have a wonderful theatre here that has been brought back to it's original glory known as the Senator.

A little history:
"The Senator Theatre is an Art Deco landmark built by E. Eyring for Durkee Enterprises at an original cost of $250,000. It opened to the public Oct. 5, 1939. The first movie it featured was Stanley and Livingstone, starring Spencer Tracy and Nancy Kelly. The architect, John Jacob Zink, designed the Senator with a circular upper structure of glass blocks and limestone.
The lobby still features the original terrazzo floors, and art deco murals about the history of performing arts. A massive gold curtain still opens to dramatically reveal the screen before each performance. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989."

The theatre is very active and shows a wide range of films - my favorite genre being "Film Noir," hence my interest in this site. Again, thank you for the time and WORK you put into it - you can see it is a true labor of love.

Thank you
Hello, Mr. James

I just wanted to thank you for this wonderful site and all the time and work you do to keep "The Golden Age" and it's stars alive for future generations.

Thankfully, the younger generation is becoming more aware of this era as colleges and universities now offer film studies and programs.

Again, thank you.

A fan,

Thank you...
...for sponsoring Helen. It's not like I knew her, but I have informally adopted her because...well, I love Ava and Liz too, and they get thousands of remembrances. Were they a thousand times better actress than Helen? Everybody deserves to be remembered.

It looks like you are from the UK-I have had the pleasure of visiting the UK a couple of times. I'm not much on the internet or chatting or communication in general, but I do check this mailbox a couple times a month: Wish I had been in the film industry, if you ever feel like talking about it...or maybe, if you ever need anything in the states? If an actual visit to a grave would help, for instance. I visit a lot of graves in person when I travel.

Have a happy life.
