|David L McMurray||Re: James Copeland (102230123)|
I've removed the incorrect parents from the referenced memorial. If you would like the memorial transferred to you, send me a request.
|Dennis Pyatt||RE: Thank You for The Picture of Elvira|
You are truly welcome.
|Rod Carty||William Henry Copeland|
Thanks for the correction on William's birth location. I can see how there could be confusion between Robertson County and Robertsville in Anderson County.
William is not very closely related to me, the father-in-law of a 3rd cousin once removed. I suspect he's closer to you. Would you like me to transfer this memorial to you?

Here is a little additional information on the Copelands buried in Section 5 of this cemetery. This information is from cemetery records. The dates are internment dates.
Effie 15 Oct 1894
J. H. 30 July 1894
R. C. 26 Sept 1888
Samuel 14 Jul 1897
Wm. C. 8 May 1900
There is another group of Copelands listed as being buried in Section 4, Lot 39. All these graves as listed as unmarked. Again dates are internment dates.
Catherine 11 Feb 1917
Clark C. 22 Oct 1915
John 29 Dec 1907
Morris 5 Feb 1936
Roscoe 30 Aug 1939
Temple 5 Apr 1908
The only other Copeland shown in the cemetery transcription book is an Infant buried 31 May 1907 in Section 4, Lot 12, also an unmarked grave.
|Judy Diaz||Lilard Thurston|
I have his complete name in my files and on my tree. I think I did not update his first name here as I was not sure if it was spelled Lillard or Lilard due to conflicting sources. Even his obit used L.T. "Bud". His 2nd Headstone with Magnolia spells it Lillard, and I did not discover that headstone til sometime later and must have forgot to come back and update his name here. So I have updated the memorial at Crab Orchard (Headstone with Ella Mae) with that spelling.
I suspect we are cousins of some sort. I am related to the Adkisson's. Most of those in Roane are 1st through 3rd cousins. Absalom Adkisson was my fourth great grand uncle ;-)
