cemetery name
I know you're going to think I'm nuts but I've lost the cemetery name that I was asking you about. I was looking for James and Nancy Davis and they were on a marker with the Murrays. Thanks for your help.

Rev A.J. Seale

Found this in an old newspaper at the Library of Congress website:

SEALE - At the residence of Jerre Seale, Esq., in this city on the 10th inst., THOMAS SEALE, son of Rev. A.J. Seale of Pontotoc. The body was conveyed, on Tuesday, to Red Land for interment.

Chickasaw Messenger (Okolona, MS), April 14, 1881.

Couldn't find a listing for Thomas, but thought it might be of interest to you.

RE: James Davis Obelisk
Thank you so much for the info. I'll call & see if I can obtain more information. I've never seen an obelisk with so many different names on it. Thanks for you prompt attention.

James Davis
I have been trying to find a James Davis born in 1808 and died in 1852, who was married to Nancy (unknown)Davis.

The James Davis found in this cemetery seems to have the same dates if I have them correct. But I do not understand the tombstone. There are three names on one tombstone and the name Wood is at the bottom of the stone. Do you have any knowledge of this tombstone? It is in the Piney Grove Cemetery in Steen, Columbus, MS.

Mary Holt
Hi John,

I photographed Mary Holt's grave but the stone has greatly blackened and it's much more difficult to read. I tried different angles and techniques but I'm sorry to say the inscription is pretty much illegible.

I would be glad to email the photos to you or upload them to FG.

RE: Frank Curtis Fay
I finally had the opportunity to take a photo of the permanent grave marker. Could you delete the photo of the temporary marker. I tried but it would not let me.
Thank You.
