I am so very thankful for all of you who take photos and share them with everyone! Photos validate research and give it visual reality. I believe in sharing all photos, so feel free to use them.

Re Wiiliam Yancy Brasher numerous errors
Hello First my name is Jackie and have been working on the Fitzgerald etc tree.As I came across Julie Ann Fitzgerald who married William Yancy Brasher Sr. Working on their son William Yancy Brasher Jr. I discovered way to many errors for William Yancy Jr and his sister Mary Brasher Tubbs, Sadly many put down his sister as his wife and his children. Whom ever put the information on findagrave was way off. Below is the correct information. I may have to send in 2 parts etc. Sadly this then makes a large domino error for othersas I myself learned many years ago. Jackie

RE: Somers pictures
We could not find three of the Willings you had requested. However, this cemetery is one I can return to in the future. When I next go out that direction, I will see if your requests remain "open".

The Turner Cemetery is well maintained, but some of the older stones are quite weathered (and perhaps broken or missing). The cemetery is very close to a large expanse of water where two rivers meet and flow into the Chesapeake Bay.

I spent some of my youth in Hawaii, so I recognize and appreciate "Mahalo".

You are very welcome!

We're Related
Well actually you're related to my wife. We are trying to figure out how. Bonnie Kay Carter was my wife's grandmother and Charles Jack Carter was her Grandpa. Jessie May and Paul Noble were her great grandparents. It seems you share a grandparent in John Brazier and Rebecca Rawson Brazier, who are her 4x's great grandparents. They are your 2x great grandparents. I am guessing your lineage goes through Clara Emma Brazier Rawson, because my wife's comes down through Jessie Eliza Brazier Tucker. We live in La and would love to catch up and figure this all out. Please let us know how we can reach you, if you would like to talk! Look forward to hearing from you!

Thanks Nan for the extra push to get this recorded on his site. His mother had a very rough life. Losing two children so close together. She gave birth and then died and that child died shortly after her.

Thanks again,

Daic updates, Oakwood Cemetery
Hi Nan,
I've updated the photos of the grave markers for Albert, Mary, and Wencil Daic. I just didn't like the ones I originally submitted. The new ones are much easier to read with more sunlight on them.
I've also added the plot locations.

Also--I found the grave for Clarence A Daic and posted the photo for his gravesite. And---there is a Teoline S. Daic buried next to Clarence. I've added a memorial for her and would like to transfer that memorial to you if you like.

Samuel Jordon Smith Jr.
His Find A Grave # is 41136147. I see you have a photo can you tell me where it originated from? I believe Samuel Jordon Smith Jr had a brother Horatio Banks Smith who was my maternal great grandfather. I am unable to locate any grave for his father Samuel J. Smith Sr. Many have his mother as Loveless Elmina Ann Taunton whose grave is also unknown. If you have any thoughts on his family I would ask that you contact me via my email. BTW I attended school with Curtis Nygard are you related?

Re: Tidwell
Yes, I'm aware of the cemetery situation. I have talked to a person who was aware of all that went on in getting access to it. He finally agreed to let certain descendants (a list was made) to have access but only if he is advised in advance. I've heard several tombstones have been made into steps down to the water for fishing access.
