Between working on my own family genealogy and starting to self study the American Civil War, I have found myself visiting cemeteries all over PA, MD, WV, VA, and anywhere else I may find myself on my travels.|
Any of the photos that I added of headstones MAY be used by their family.
Some of the names in my own genealogy are:
Fathers side: Imhoff, Bewley, Overly, Weaver, Eby, Shirk, Snavely, LeFevre, Parke, Rohrer, Landis, Vasbinder, Oberlin, Myer (Lancaster and Chester Counties in Pennsylvania)
Mothers side: Schell, Lontz, Hawk, Matter, Paul, Romberger, Reinoehl, Leitzel, Ritzman, Bordner, Welker, Klinger, Bender, Lebo, Minnich (Dauphin, Schuylkill, and Northumberland Counties in Pennsylvania)
If there are any corrections or additions you would like added or fixed on any of the memorial pages I added please feel free to contact me.

|JIP||James H. Woffendnen|
I am writing to tell how much I appreciate you creating a memorial for my great great grandfather James H. Woffenden in September 2016. The family knew his wife Hannah was buried in the Methodist Cemetery memorial # 109055658 however the information to where James final resting place was inconclusive. I know this is a very old cemetery thru tracking of other family members and assumed there was no headstone for James. I was speaking to the caretaker of the cemetery until his health failed him and he passed last year. He was attempting to locate burial records and location of the grave. In your walking of the cemetery did you possibly make any notes of the location ? I have requested a photo request and know its difficult at times if a location is not noted. Possibly did you take a photo and it has not been uploaded?
Again many thanks!!!

|Eileen Lentz||Image of the gravestone of Margaret Alice Klinger Schwalm Martz|
This is what I posted with the image I uploaded for Margaret Alice Klinger Martz # 85736263:
"Cropped from an image uploaded by Imhoff to a duplicate memorial #123015941 of Margaret Alice Klinger Schwalm [Martz].
Margaret Alice is buried next to her first husband John Alfred Schwalm, but her obituary uses her second marriage name of Martz."
The original memorial for Margaret Alice Klinger Martz is # 85736263. I wanted to make sure you were credited for the photo. If you would prefer to upload the original image to this memorial, I will remove the cropped image.
Thank you so much for the work you do for the memorials on Find A Grave.
|Anonymous||Anna Eliza Keen Workman|
Anna Eliza's memorial #113049028 contains a tombstone photo which was added by you. This is my great-great grandmother, buried in Calvary United Methodist Cemetery, Wiconisco, Dauphin Co., PA. I am wondering whether you might have a photo of my great-great-grandfather's monument, David R. Workman (memorial #92433630,buried in the same cemetery. The monument on Anna Eliza's grave is a tall square one, perhaps the inscription for David is on another side? He served in the Civil War, and I can see a flag behind the monument in the picture. I have never visited this cemetery in person and am too far away to do so. If you are unable to help me, I will probably contact the church to see what I can find out. I want to verify that David has a monument if he is buried there, and that there is a military insignia on it, and I would like to get a picture of it added to his memorial page in Find a Grave. I maintain David's memorial ("Anonymous"), but someone else maintains Anna Eliza's page.
Thank you for all your work with Find a Grave, and thank you for your consideration of my request.
Gail Henry (my grandmother's maiden name was Workman and David was her paternal grandfather.)
|Ben Cooper||Aaron and Mary Ann (Andre) Eby memorial|
I saw that you added memorials for Aaron Eby and his wife Mary Ann (Andre) Eby. And that you added their burial location as unknown. I appreciate you adding them. Today I found Aaron's death certificate on Ancestry.com. The cemetery name on the certificate is very hard to read. I did some more research on Aaron, and with some help from someone else, I found Aaron's obituary and it had the name of the cemetery. He is buried at First Congregational Church Cemetery in Minersville, Schuylkill County, PA. I will try to find out if Mary Ann is buried there too (although I suspect she probably is) Also, I found out that Aaron married a second time to Rebecca (Troxell) Whitman. I'm still working on finding were she is buried, I know she wasn't buried with Aaron. I created a memorial for Aaron at the First Congregational Church Cemetery today. I was wondering if you would be willing to remove the memorial that you created for Aaron? Then I will link the memorial that I created for him to his parents Peter and Catharine. Once I confirm that Mary Ann is buried with Aaron I will create a memorial for her there as well.
Thank you for your time and consideration!

Photo has been taken. I took photo while photographing a section of the cemetery and did not know that there was an open request.
