|THE URGENCY: Acid rain and mold are devastating inscriptions on cemetery memorials! If we don't photographically record memorials before they become illegible, the final resting places of these loved ones will be lost forever!|
I believe that after a few generations, everyone is basically forgotten. Our graves sit there deteriorating without a care. I especially feel for childless couples or infants and children, they are forgotten sooner. I like this website, because generation after generation, our family will be able to come here, and see our graves, and with a little love and care can see our faces also.
Tracing our family lineage becomes so much easier for future generations. This site is an excellent resource for genealogist!
Please take up-close, careful shots of photos on graves! Many may never be seen again, after you leave, as they are quickly disappearing. A family may have no other photo, and may not even know that one existed, if you pass it by.
I'm ready and willing to edit or cancel my entries so don't hesitate to send me your corrections or requests.

I am researching 15683712 for a Daughters of the American Revolution application. Do happen to know where I might locate the source for the bio?
Greatly appreciate any assistance.
Thank You Liz

Find A Grave Memorial# 136850853
Not sure of the source of Confederate service info by Murray County, GA regarding John Bates. However, his Confedate servicem record does not indicate that he was ever held as prisoner in Rock Island, IL by the yankees.
His Confederate record indicates that he was paroled at Venus Point, Savannah River in October 1864. Try this: Find A Grave Memorial# 69553454
His Confederate service was in Company F, 3rd Confederate Cavalry Regiment even though his grave stone is incorrect.
Hope this helps. Thank you.

The picture that is already posted on this memorial is the only monument for Lot: 42; although Jessie's name is not reflected on the existing monument, he is buried in Grave: 6.
|Marlasue||Photo request for Louis Hunter|
I took a photo for Lewis Hunter (Holmes Co. Home Cemetery), but there are no dates and the first name is Lewis H. (Hunter). Is this one and the same? If so, I'll upload the photo. (1902-1979)

I believe the memorial owner has listed the wrong cemetery on her memorial. The obit info says "Denton Twp Cemetery" which is in Prudenville,Mi, but he has listed her burial place as "Denton Cemetery" which is in Van Buren Twp, MI, near Belleville/Ypsilanti. I will send him a message too but wanted you to know, as I had asked the township for burial info and there's nothing in Denton, Van Buren Twp, on her, and there would have been since it's so recent.

You sent me a message asking to transfer the Swifts to your care. They are also my gggggrandparents. I am willing to share information but worked too hard to find their graves to transfer them to someone else. In this Swift family I have proven that they are Mayflower Descendants, as am I. If this is your family you are also a Mayflower Descendant. Only a die hard genealogist cares but it is very interesting to trace the family tree and join the society.

At this time they have not buried June's ashes. They plan on laying her to rest at the Hartman Cemetery and I will update when that is done. Thanks, Nancy
