On August 12, 2013, in order to bypass traffic backed up from a wreck, I drove down a road I had never been on before. (We had only lived in this area a short time.) I was surprised and excited when I rounded a curve in the road and came upon a cemetery with my husband's family name on it--the Pate-Sanders Cemetery. Although we have not yet been able to establish any connection between the Pates in that cemetery and my husband's family, the discovery did lead to a renewed interest in trying to fill in some blanks and make some corrections in our family trees and also led to the discovery of Find A Grave. I have already made contact, through Find A Grave, with several distant relatives on both my side and my husband's side of the family so this has been an exciting journey so far.|
Going back a few generations, surname's on my side of the family include Clinton, Werhan, Cross, Deaver, Glenn, Murray, Johnston, Taylor, Bradshaw, Fosdick, Phillips, Cathey, Spane, Reiss, Wharton, Singleton, Eastridge, and Roark.
On my husband's side of the family, surname's include Pate, Judd, Trantham, Mosley, George, Lewis, Miller, Williams, Willard, Baty, Moore, Miller, Ford, Tillman, Gann, Gresham, Markham, Perkins, Wilson, Crooks, and Maulding.
Although I am new to genealogy research, and our trees are not as complete as many, I would be glad to share any information I might have.

|Ruth A. Collins||Eastridge Family|
Carole Eastridge Waters and I connected back in the 1990s. I gave her much of the information she has on our early ancestors when we exchanged information. I make daily family history posts on FB. Friend me. Ruth A. Collins. Today my profile pic is a llama as a recently lost a challenge and my reward was to post a llama as my profile pic. Nice to meet you, cousin. Hugs.

Hi cousin. I descend from Henry Eastridge and Elizabeth Floyd Eastridge by way of Pleasant Eastridge. Would love to get in touch with you.
|Kimberly Moss||RE: Judd/Moss|
My dad is Clifford Wayne Moss but he was given the nickname Toby when he was a little boy, so your husband remembers correctly! It's nice to hear from someone connected to the Judd family.
Your husband's grandfather Vernie and my grandmother Ruth were brother and sister! Any idea where Vernie is buried? My sister and I have done quite a lot of genealogy on the Judds but we never came across much information about Vernie.
|Molly McLaughlin||Dolly Adaline Malone Whorton/Wharton|
My husband descends from her sister...
I am trying to prove she is not same Dolly who md.
William Whorton in 1813 Jasper Co., Ga. but the niece of the Dolly who md. in 1813 Jasper Co., Georgia-the daughter of Micajah Sansom, Sr. and wife, Dolly Gibson Sansom...as Dorothy when they married in 1771. Can you e-mail me?

Count me as another cousin you've discovered through Findagrave. I too have discovered many whom I would never have found otherwise. So, welcome to the Findagrave family and happy hunting, your cuz Barbara Bland

According to my calculations we connect 4 ways,the closest being through Henry and Elizabeth Floyd Eastridge and are 5th cousins once removed. The others are through the Roarks. I think someone else has already asked you but will verify... Do you know who put the designation on this page indicating Henry was the son of John? Are you on Facebook? I have an Eastridge Family Group on there which is nearly 600 members strong. Email might be more convenient... email@example.com
Nice to meet you cousin!
