I live in Oklahoma. I was bitten by the genealogy bug about 15 years ago and have been addicted ever since. I also love gardening and cats.

Please email me with any additional information, corrections or questions you might have. Please indicate Find A Grave in the subject line.

I am connected in some way, whether it be close or distant, to many (but not all) of the memorials I have entered. I do not believe Find A Grave guidelines are chiseled in stone as some do. Therefore, I will transfer memorials if I am not related or on a case by case basis.

A family tree can wither if nobody tends it's roots.

A garden without a cat scarcely deserves to be called a garden at all.

RE: Jalia Patterson Boatright
Thank you so much for the compliment. I worked hard on the website and the tombstone inventory. We may be cousins. I am a descendant of Celia Ann PATTERSON (1811-1901)

Writeup on Olmstead/Emicks
I recently found a 'leaf' on my ancestry tree and through your message on the gravesite of Richard Guy Emick, I have been able to get the names of several 3rd cousins I didn't know that I had. Thanks so much.

(My great grandmother, Emma Olmsted Lass, was the sister of George W. Olmsted, Richard's son.)

RE: Eliza Beardsley
Karma I also posted some on the Dewey family that never had them if you're interested. Do you know how they are related? Maybe you can send links to the so the family will be easy to figure out. I was going to look for census info but you might know. :) Also did you notice the 2 Sarah Dewey memorials, birth dates the same, but death different, is this the same lady? She was married 3 times I believe. Luella

Jones Farm
Some of the McClung graves at FG McClung north of Rupert have not yet been moved to Jones Farm. The ones with photos are actually at Jones Farm. I have to give the person reasonable amount of time to move, and if that fails, then I contact FG staff for assistance.
The one puzzling me at the moment is Alban S. McClung. No stone at McClung, but have not yet found other records. Sometimes names on stones vary from other records while dates match.
Too bad Greenbrier County does not have online historic newspapers, would be helpful.

Jones Farm Cemetery
I encountered many rattlesnakes in OK... even in the dead of winter which I thought was odd.

Greenbrier County is relatively free of such things because of altitude... but in creek bottom country, like Jones Farm, well I have my Kevlar chaps and 410 pistol... just in case.

Jones Farm Cemetery
Thanks for the move as Jones Farm is where the stones are. In fall I need to get weed wacker in there and photo all the stones in better light after leaves fall. Place is way overgrown.
I have added dozens of missing cemeteries for Greenbrier County and have many dozens to go!!
Jones Farm was a recent add.
Finding them is quite an adventure knocking on doors, calling around, following leads, etc.
I am sure many cemeteries are missing for Oklahoma especially more the remote areas like West Central OK north of Alta, northwest of Lawton. People moved in there 1900 and many left by 1930s drought.. likely leaving small burial grounds all over the place.
As far as names, yes, Greenbrier County has its fair share of renaming events.. one graveyard I know has four names... it gets confusing at times.
So boots on the ground with photo documentation required.
And families do move stones around too!! Documented many of those type events.
As far as Jones Farm, that is the official name as of 1998, registered by county historical society. The cemetery has no deed. Just abandoned plot on land owned by cattleman LLC.
Would have to do title search to see who owned the farm over time... may be Ben Franklin McClung did own in that area.
Not very far away from Jones Farm on the adjacent land still owned by Bruce McClung is a plot with six burials for McClungs (no stones just family lore as to who is buried there). I have now added that on FG.
Now I just have to the remaining misplaced graves in the other "McClung" north of Jones Farm moved to the correct cemeteries. Seems a bunch of graves were just added based on guesses and not actual readings of stones by field work.
