|SueB||RE: Pleasant Kirby|
Thank you for the info. I did not have a birth date for James before, as it is worn off his grave. As for Orpha, she is not his wife. Her Find A Grave memorial clearly shows her as married to a Caleb Patterson. I have not been able to find any doc to support her being James' wife. Have you? So still not sure who his wife was. The 1910 census shows Pleasant widowed with a niece and nephew living with her. That would mean she or her husband had a sibling who we have not yet identified.

Can you please look at Find A Grave 97572378 where I have all the info I have found on this lady. I recently became aware of her when someone Linked her to James Kirby (Samuel's half brother). I have not been able to verify that her father was actually James. I am pretty sure she was a Kirby before she married and born in PA. But it occurs to me it is also possible her father was Samuel. Especially since I can't verify James was ever married, let alone had children. Anyway, look at her info and her husband's, see what you think and get back to me, please. I would appreciate any advice re if or how she may be related back to the PA and NJ Kirbys. Thank you.

The name is actually Gunsul.
They are several in South Side Cemetery in Pontiac, as well as a couple in St. Mary's in Pontiac. I will see if I can spot her under any other possible name in those cemeteries. Maybe she came "home" to be buried. Her people were in this county for a long time. I'll let you know if I find anything up here. Thanks! Pam
